क्यों है छप्पन भोग की मान्यता ?
छप्पन भोग क्या होता है और इसे क्यों भगवान को प्रसाद के रूप में चढ़ाया जाता है ? यह सवाल आपके मन में भी आता होगा. आज हम इससे जुड़ी जानकारी आपके साथ साझा करते हैं. क्या कारण और कहानी है इसके पीछे, आपको बताते हैं –
असल में छप्पन भोग 6 प्रकार के रस से मिलकर बनता है. इन 6 प्रकार के रसों को मिलाकर 56 भोग तैयार किया जाता है. इस भोग में सारे ही स्वाद मिल जाते है, मीठा, खट्टा, कड़वा आदि. यह भोग रसगुल्ले से शुरू होकर दही, चावल, पूरी, पापड़ आदि से होते हुए इलायची पर जाकर खत्म होता है. सभी 6 स्वादों का निर्माण पंचतत्वों के मिश्रण से होता है.
मीठा स्वाद – मधुरा रस = (पृथ्वी + पानी)
खट्टा स्वाद – अमला रस = (पृथ्वी + आग)
नमका स्वाद – लवाना रस= (पानी + आग)
तीखा स्वाद – केतु रस = (वायु + अग्नि)
कड़वा स्वाद – तिक्त रस = (वायु + आकाश)
कसैला स्वाद – कसाय रस = (हवा और पृथ्वी)
पुराणों में श्री कृष्ण को छप्पन भोग लगाने की बात कही गई है. कहा जाता है कि जब इन्द्र के प्रकोप से गोकुल वासियों को बचाने के लिए भगवान कृष्ण ने गोवर्धन पर्वत उठाया था, तब उन्हें लगातार 7 दिन तक भूखा रहना पड़ा था. इसके बाद उन्हें सात दिनों तक 8 पहर के हिसाब से 56 व्यंजन खिलाएं गये थे. तभी से इस छप्पन भोग को भगवान कृष्ण को प्रसाद के रूप में भोग लगाने की परंपरा की शुरुआत हुई.
एक और मान्यता के अनुसार, कहा जाता है कि गो-लोक में कृष्ण और राधा दिव्य कमल पर विराजते थे, उस कमल के तीन परतों में 56 पंखुड़ियों का मेल था. इस कारण भी इस भोग का मान है. आज भी इस परम्परा का निर्वहन हो रहा है. भगवान कृष्ण को जन्माष्टमी के दिन उनके जन्मदिवस पर इसी तरह छप्पनभोग का प्रसाद चढ़ाया जाता है, और पूरी में कृष्ण की जब रथ यात्रा उनके पुरे परिवार के साथ निकाली जाती है तब भी यही छप्पन भोग प्रसाद रूप में चढ़ाया जाता है. आजकल छप्पन भोग थाली भी प्रचलन में है.
