क्यों बंद कराई गई चाणक्य धारावाहिक ?
चाणक्य कहें या कौटिल्य कहें. इनको किसी पहचान की जरूरत नहीं है. चाणक्य और इनकी नीतियाँ बहुत विख्यात हैं. कहते हैं जिसने चाणक्य की नीतियों का पालन कर लिया, वह इंसान सदैव खुश रहता है. चाणक्य ने अर्थशास्त्र, राजनीति, अर्थनीति, कृषि, समाजनीति, आदि पर कई महाग्रंथ लिखे हैं. इनकी जिंदगी पर तो बहुत से धारावाहिक बने हैं. लेकिन एक इंसान जिसने 9 साल तक इनकी जीवनी पर खोज की और तब जाकर ऐसा धारावाहिक लेकर आया जो लोगों के जेहन में आज भी जिंदा है, वे हैं चन्द्रप्रकाश द्विवेदी.
वह दौर था जब हर किसी के घर टी.वी नहीं हुआ करते थे. अगर मुहल्ले में किसी के यहां टी.वी है, तो उसको सेठ आदमी माना जाता था और पूरा मोहल्ला उसके यहां इकठ्ठा होकर टी.वी देखता था. 8 सितम्बर 1991 को शुरू हुआ यह धारावाहिक (सीरियल) चाणक्य के जीवन पर बनी थी.
इस धारावाहिक ने बहुत वाह-वाही लुटी. निर्देशक, लेखक, पटकथा के साथ-साथ अपने अभिनय की कला चन्द्रप्रकाश द्विवेदी ने इस धारावाहिक के माध्यम से दिखायी. कहते हैं न कि अगर आपको मौका मिले, तो आप अपना सारा गुण दिखा सकते हैं. लोकचर्चित इस धारावाहिक ने द्विवेदी को पहचान दी ही बल्कि कई ऐसे नए चेहरे आए जिनका आज इंडस्ट्री में नाम है. दीपराज राणा, संजय मिश्रा, इरफान खान, अभिषेक द्विवेदी, दिनेश शुक्ल, संजीव पूरी जैसे दिग्गज कलाकारों ने चाणक्य में अपना हुनर को दिखाया.
चाणक्य के लिए द्विवेदी को सारे किरदार मिल तो गए थे, लेकिन उन्हें चाणक्य के किशोरावस्था के लिए कोई किरदार नहीं मिल रहा था. तब उनके दोस्त अक्षय ने उन्हें मितेश सफारी से मिलवाया. द्विवेदी ने मितेश को देखते ही समझ लिया की उन्हें उनका चाणक्य मिल गया. मितेश का बिना स्क्रीन टेस्ट लिए ही उन्हें डायरेक्ट शूटिंग पर आने को कह दिया.
बता दें कि द्विवेदी जी ने 180 से अधिक पुस्तकें पढ़ने के बाद यह धारावाहिक बनाई थी. चाणक्य व्यावसायिक रूप में सफल रही. इस धारावाहिक के 47 एपिसोड थे. पहले 17 एपिसोड नौ महीने में फिल्माया गया था, जिसकी लागत नौ लाख थी. एपिसोड्स की बात करें तो पहले 25 एपिसोड के कला निर्देशक सलीम आरिफ थे, फिर उन्होंने इसकी जिम्मेदारी अपने अस्सिटेंट नितिन रॉय को दे दी. ये धारावाहिक नितिन की पहली स्वतंत्र धारावाहिक थी. द्विवेदी की तरह नितिन ने भी अपने काम को और अच्छे से समझने के लिए घंटों पुस्तकालय में बिताए, ताकि वे और अच्छे से निर्देशन कर सकें. जब बात राजा-महाराजा के युग की हो रही हो, तो कपड़े उनमें अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं. इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए इसके कपड़ों का आधार अल्काजी रौशन किताब पर था.
चाणक्य धारावाहिक की अनसुनी कहानियां
चाणक्य अपने अच्छे किरदार और कहानी के लिए प्रसिद्ध हुआ, लेकिन उसके अलावा भी ये बहुत सारी बातों के लिए सुर्खियों में रहा. द्विवेदी पर इल्जाम लगाया गया कि राष्ट्रीय एजेंडा और हिंदुत्व को लेकर चल रहे हैं. हालांकि, द्विवेदी ने इससे साफ मना कर दिया. यहां तक की नारंगी रंग के इस्तेमाल और हर हर महादेव के नारे को लेकर लोग ये कहने लगे कि द्विवेदी भाजपा से मिले हुए हैं.
एक पत्रकार ने भी एक इंटरव्यू के दौरान द्विवेदी के कार्यालय में उनकी और भाजपा सुप्रीमो की तस्वीर टंगी देखी थी. द्विवेदी के समर्थन में डॉ श्रीराम लागू सामने आए. उन्होंने कहा कि ‘ये धारावाहिक वैदिक समय को दर्शाती है और उस वक्त नारंगी रंग का इस्तेमाल होता था.’
लेकिन इस सब के बाद दूरदर्शन ने इस धारावाहिक को ऑफ-एयर कर दिया, पर वे सारे एपिसोड चले जो पहले से तय किया गया था. यह तब मुमकिन हुआ, जब धारावाहिक के प्रोडूसर यानी द्विवेदी के भाई प्रकाश द्विवेदी ने कानूनी कार्रवाई की.
चाणक्य की कहानी यही खत्म नहीं हुई. चाणक्य को एक बार फिर से जीने का मौका मिला. साल 1993 में बीबीसी ने इसको बीबीसी 2 पर चलाया. उसके बाद जी टीवी ने इसको 1997 में चलाया, जब द्विवेदी उस चैनल के प्रोग्रमिंग हेड थे, फिर 9 एक्स ने 2007-08 और फिर अमृता टीवी ने इसको मलयालम में डब करके चलाया.
1991 से 2008 तक अलग-अलग चैनल पर इसके प्रसारण ने इसकी लोकप्रियता और ज्यादा बढ़ा दी. लोकप्रियता और पहचान ऐसी की, जब द्विवेदी को पिंजर फिल्म के लिए बॉर्डर के पास शूटिंग करनी की इजाजत नहीं मिली, तो वे उस समय के विदेश सचिव से मिले. विदेश सचिव ने बोला, ‘अपने चाणक्य जैसा शो बनाया है, जो यह बताता है कि आप गंभीर काम करते होंगे या करेंगे’. इसके बाद उन्हें फिल्म की शूटिंग की परमिशन मिल गई. इससे तो साफ पता चलता है कि चाणक्य धारावाहिक कितनी प्रचलित थी और लोगों पर उसका कितना गहरा असर हुआ था.
