बाजार में भले ही रंग-बिरंगे और महंगी राखियों से दुकानें गुलजार हों, लेकिन संबंध तो रक्षाबंधन में धागे से जुड़ता है। महीन धागा मन को इस कदर मजबूत कर देता है कि जीवन के अंतिम सांस तक वह निभता है। प्यार किसी भी मजहब के हों उनके साथ हमेशा पाकीजगी ((पवित्रता)) और अमन चैन का संदेश होता है। यह जरूरी नहीं कि एक मजहब का इंसान जो त्योहार मनाता है। दूसरे धर्म का इंसान वह त्योहार नहीं मना सकता या उनमें शिरकत नहीं कर सकता। रिश्तों में सचाई और दिलों में पाकीजगी हो तो मजहब की दीवारें त्योहार को मनाने में आड़े नहीं आती।
राखी का त्योहार भाई-बहन के रिश्ते की पाकीजगी का त्योहार है। इस रिश्ते को रसूख तभी मिल सकता है, जब हम इसे तहेदिल से मानें। हिंदू हो या मुस्लिम, कोई भी भाई केवल दिखावे के लिए राखी का त्योहार न मनाए। विद्वानों ने भी कहा कि जिंदगी के कई मेआर हैं। सबकी अपनी अपनी सोच। कई बार हमने देखा है कि किसी अजनबी कलाई पर जब कोई एक राखी बांध देती है, तो पल भर में कड़वी सच्चाइयां भी रिश्तों की तमाम हदें तोड़ कर भाई बहन के रिश्ते में बदल जाती हैं। यह है इस धागे का कमाल। हो सकता है जेहन में कई तल्खियां हों, लेकिन वह धागे की धमक से खुशनुमा एहसास में खुद-ब-खुद ढल जाती हैं। वाकई बे-मिसाल रिश्ते का यह बंधन वही समझ सकता है, जिसने इस रिश्ते में बंधना स्वीकारा हो।
भाई – बहन के रिश्तों की सीमाओं से आगे बढ़ते हुए यह बंधन आज गुरु का शिष्य को राखी बांधना, एक भाई का दूसरे भाई को, बहनों का आपस में राखी बांधना और दो मित्रों का एक-दूसरे को राखी बांधना, माता-पिता का संतान को राखी बांधना हो सकता है। वर्तमान परिपेक्ष्य में राखी केवल बहन का रिश्ता स्वीकारना नहीं है अपितु राखी का अर्थ है, जो यह श्रद्धा व विश्वास का धागा बांधता है। वह राखी बंधवाने वाले व्यक्ति के दायित्वों को स्वीकार करता है। उस रिश्ते को पूरी निष्ठा से निभाने की कोशिश करता है।
