भारत ही नहीं, इन देशों में भी है योग का डंका: तरुण शर्मा
शून्य की तरह विश्व को भारत की सबसे बड़ी देन योग को माना जा रहा है। दरअसल, योग एक विचार नहीं बल्कि भारतीय जीवन पद्धति है जिसमें भारतीय जीवन मूल्य यानि संस्कृति समाहित हैं। शून्य के आधार पर आधुनिक विज्ञान स्थापित हुआ उसी तरह आधुनिक जीवन का आधार बनता जा रहा है योग।
मानव सभ्यता जितनी पुरानी है, उतनी ही पुरानी योग की उत्पत्ति मानी जाती है, लेकिन इस तथ्य को साबित करने का कोई ठोस सबूत मौजूद नहीं है। इस क्षेत्र में व्यापक शोध के बावजूद भी, योग की उत्पत्ति के संबंध में कोई ठोस परिणाम प्राप्त नहीं हुए हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि भारत में योग की उत्पत्ति लगभग 5000 साल पूर्व हुई थी। बीते कुछ साल से भले ही पूरा विश्व 21 जून को अंतर्राष्ट्ीय योग दिवस मनाता है, लेकिन भारत में यह सदा ही विद्यमान रहा है।
पूरी दुनिया में शायद ही ऐसा कोई देश है जो योग शब्द से परिचित न हो। योग की महत्ता प्राचीन काल से है। भारत से योग का विश्व के अन्य देशों में विस्तार हुआ तो चीन, जापान, तिब्बत, दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया और श्रीलंका जैसे देशों में ये फैल गया। समय के साथ वहां की संस्कृति के अनुसार विभिन्न स्तरों पर इसका विस्तार होता चला गया। पश्चिम के देशों में भी अब योग को सहज अपनाया जा रहा है। आपको पता है कि भारत के अलावा और किन किन देशों में योग का बोलबाला है ? हम बताते हैं। 21 जून को हर वर्ष ‘विश्व योग दिवस’ के तौर पर मनाने का अपना प्रस्ताव भारत ने 2014 में जब संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के समक्ष रखा, तब रूस उसके सबसे उत्साही सह प्रायोजकों में से एक था। पहले ‘विश्व योग दिवस’ पर रूस के 80 शहरों में 33 हजार लोगों ने मिल कर योग किया। रूसी प्रधानमंत्री मेद्वेदेव और पूर्व राष्ट्रपति बोरिस येल्त्सिन का परिवार भी योगाभ्यास का शौकीन है। ‘योगा जर्नल’ के रूसी भाषा संस्करण की संपादक एलेन फेरबेक मॉस्को में 1999 से अपना ‘अष्टांग योग केंद्र’ चला रहे हैं। मिखाइल कोन्स्तांतिनोव भी अपने योग केंद्र में 1500 लोगों को योग सिखा रहे हैं। अकेले मॉस्को में इस समय 270 से अधिक योग स्टूडियो हैं।
2014 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र के 21 जून को अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस घोषित करने के बाद से अमेरिका में योग की लोकप्रियता तेजी से बढ़ी है। 2016 में, अमेरिका में 3 करोड़ 60 लाख लोग योग से स्वस्थ रहने के तरीकों को अपना रहे हैं। इसी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार 90 प्रतिशत अमेरिकी योग के बारे में जानते हैं, जबकि 2012 में 70 प्रतिशत को ही इसके बारे में जानकारी थी। अमेरिका के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा भी योग के मुरीद हैं।
पश्चिम के देशों में हुए वैज्ञानिक शोधों से यह निकलकर आया कि लाइफस्टाइल के कारण उत्पन्न बीमारियों के कारगर इलाज के लिए योग अचूक है। इसके बाद अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी और कनाडा जैसे देशों में योग के प्रति आकर्षण बढ़ा और इसका प्रसार होने लगा। हर 90 मिनट के अभ्यास के लिए 50 डॉलर तक मांगे जाते हैं।
ब्रिटेन में पहला योग स्कूल भारत में ब्रिटिश राज के एक अधिकारी रह चुके सर पॉस ड्यूक्स ने 1949 में एपिंग में खोला था। 1965 में ‘ब्रिटिश व्हील ऑफ योगा’ (बीडब्ल्यूवाई) की स्थापना हुई। 1995 से यह अब ‘यूरोपीय खेल परिषद’ और इंग्लैंड की खेल परिषद के भी अधीन है। प्रौढ़ शिक्षा के तहत 1970 के बाद से पूरे देश में सैकड़ों योग-कक्षाएं भी लगने लगीं और अनेक प्रइवेट स्कूल भी खुलने लगे थे। इस समय पांच लाख से अधिक ब्रिटिश नागरिक योगाभ्यास करते हैं।
आंकड़े बताते हैं कि सवा आठ करोड़ की जनसंख्या वाले जर्मनी में 24 लाख महिलाओं सहित 26 लाख लोगों, यानी 3.3 प्रतिशत जनता को योगाभ्यास का शौक है। देश में इस समय लगभग 20 हजार योग-शिक्षक हैं। इतना ही नहीं अकेले योग कक्षाओं की फीस ही दो से तीन अरब यूरो के बराबर आंकी जा रही है। जर्मनी के सामान्य स्कूलों और किंडरगार्टनों के बच्चों को भी स्वैच्छिक आधार पर हठयोग सिखाया जा रहा है। योग का प्रचार-प्रसार कमाई का भी बड़ा जरिया बन गया है।
फ्रांसीसी वैसे तो कसरत या शारीरिक व्यायाम के लिए जाने नहीं जाते, तब भी योग करना उन्हें भी धीरे-धीरे रास आने लगा है। पेरिस सहित कई शहरों में भी अनेक योग-स्टूडियो खुल गए हैं या फिटनेस सेंटरों में योग सीखने-करने की सुविधाएं मिलने लगी हैं। पेरिस में कई योग स्टूडियो हैं जिनमें हर बैठक के लिए 20 से 25 यूरो लिए जाते हैं। फ्रांस में 2016 का दूसरा विश्व योग दिवस शनिवार, 18 जून को ही शुरू हो गया था। पेरिस के सबसे बड़े पार्क ‘पार्क दे ला वियेत’ में दो हजार से अधिक योग-प्रेमी इकठ्ठा हुए थे।
