नई दिल्ली। हम सभी आय दिन घरों और कार्यालयों में कभी न कभी कलेण्डर देखते ही हैं।लेकिन क्या आपको पता है कि हम जिस कलेण्डर को देखते हैं। वह हमारे देश का अपना कलेण्डर नहीं बल्कि वैश्विक स्तर पर मान्य ग्रिगोरियन कलेण्डर है। हम आपको बताते हैं कि भारत के मान्य कलेण्डर को शक संवत से लिया गया है। भारत ने शक संवत आधारित कलेण्डर को 22 मार्च 1957 अर्थात 1 चैत्र 1879 को अपनाया था। भारत के राजपत्र में भी इस कलेण्डर(पंचांग) को अपनाया जाता है।
भारतीय शक संवत आधारित इस कलेण्डर का पहला महिना चैत्र से शुरू होता है।इसके बाद क्रम से वैशाख,ज्येष्ठ,आषाढ़,श्रावण भादो,आश्विन, कार्तिक,अगहन या अर्गहायण,पौष, माघ और अंत में फाल्गुन। साल के शुरू के छह महिने 31 दिन के होते हैं। शक युग का पहला वर्ष सामान्य वर्ष के 78 वर्ष से शुरू होता है। इसलिए अधिवर्ष निकालने के लिए शक वर्ष में 78 जोड़ देते हैं। यह सूर्य-चंद्र पर आधारित सिद्धांत है।
जानिए आखिर शक थे कौन …
शालिवाहन शक जिसे शक संवत भी कहते हैं , की प्रवर्तन 78 ई. में वसन्त विषुव के आसपास हुई थी। भारतीय इतिहास कुषाण शासक कनिष्क को शालिवाहन शक के शुभारम्भ का श्रेय दिया जाता है। कुषाण ने 78 ई. में शकों के अन्य शाखाओं को हरा कर इस युद्ध की स्मृति में इस युग का आरंभ किया था।शक संवत भारत की बेहद प्रचलित काल निर्णय पद्धति है। शक संवत् का आरंभ यूं तो ईसा से लगभग अठहत्तर वर्ष पहले हुआ। लेकिन इसका अस्पष्ट स्वरूप ईसा के पांच सौ साल पहले से ही मिलने लगा था। वराहमिहिर ने इसे शक-काल और कहीं कहीं शक-भूपकाल कहा है। शक संवत को ‘शालिवाहन’ भी कहा जाता है। शक संवत के शालिवाहन नाम का उल्लेख तेरहवीं से चौदहवीं सदी के शिलालेखों में मिलता है। आपको जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि 1633 तक जावा की अदालतें भी इसका उपयोग किया करती थीं। उज्जैन के राजा श्री हर्ष विक्रमादित्य ने समस्त भारत पर अपना परचम लहराया। तब से विक्रम संवत का प्रारंभ हुआ। इस की तिथि 560 ई.पू. निश्चित की जाती है। हालांकि विक्रम संवत शक संवत से पहले का कालखण्ड है । कल्हण के अनुसार विक्रमादित्य ने पूरे उत्तर भारत पर अपना शासन स्थापित किया था और विक्रमादित्य की उपाधि धारण की। कविराज मातृगुप्त ने विक्रमादित्य को शकारि बताया है।
पंचाग होता क्या है-
पंचांग शब्द का अर्थ है ,पाँच अंगो वाला। पंचांग में समय गणना के पाँच अंग हैं : वार , तिथि , नक्षत्र , योग , और करण।भारत में उपयोग में आने वाले हिन्दू पंचांग मुख्यत: चंद्र आधारित होते हैं। हिन्दू पंचांगों में विक्रम पंचांग,बंगाली पंचांग,तमिल पंचांग और मलयालम पंचांग होते हैं। इनमें से सबसे ज्यादा विक्रम पंचांग को प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त है। यह लगभग पूरे उत्तर भारत के साथ साथ पश्चिमी और मध्य भारत में प्रचलित है। मलयालम पंचांग सौर आधारित पंचांग है।

हिन्दू पंचांग का उपयोग भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप में प्राचीन समय से होता आ रहा है। यह भारत और नेपाल सहित कम्बोडिया, लाओस, थाईलैण्ड, बर्मा, श्रीलंका में भी उपयोग में आता है। हमारे सभी त्योहारों की तिथि हिन्दू पंचांग से ही तय किए जाते हैं।
