India and silk route: भारत में आपने सिल्क के कपड़ो को लेकर खूब सुना होगा। आपने कई बार पर्व, त्यौहार, शादी-ब्याह, और अन्य आयोजनों में सिल्क के कपड़े पहने तो होंगे ही और अगर नहीं पहना तो सुना या देखा तो होगा ही। तो आज हम इसी सिल्क से जुड़े कुछ किस्से कहानियों को आपको बतलाएंगे कि आखिर इस सिल्क के पीछे क्या वजह थी कि जिस रास्ते से इसका व्यापार होता था वह रास्ता ही सिल्क रूट के नाम से जाना जाने लगा। सिल्क रूट सिर्फ एक व्यवसायिक मार्ग ही नहीं बल्कि यह कई सभ्यताओं को आपस में जोड़ने की एक ऐसी कड़ी है जहां एक साथ कई संस्कृति घुल-मिल जाती थी।
प्राचीन समय में भारत से उत्तर-पूर्व की ओर एक व्यापार मार्ग जाता था जिसे सिल्क रूट या रेशम मार्ग के नाम से जाना जाता था। यह एशिया और यूरोप के मध्य व्यापार के लिए काफी प्रभावी और सुगम मार्ग था। इसकी मदद से सकल भारतीय उप-महाद्वीप को मध्य एशिया से होते हुए मध्य पूर्व, पूर्वी-अफ्रीका और यूरोप तक को जड़ता था।
आप इसके नाम पर मत जाना और ना ही यह सोच बैठना कि सिल्क रूट या रेशम मार्ग से सिर्फ रेशम का व्यापार ही होता होगा। बल्कि इस मार्ग से अन्य वस्तुओं का व्यापार भी बहुत बड़े मात्रा में होता था। रेशम मार्ग दूसरी शताब्दी ईसा पूर्व से 15 वीं शताब्दी के मध्य तक भारत और वैश्विक व्यापार के लिए काफी अहम भूमिका निभाई। इस मार्ग से ना सिर्फ वस्तुओं ने अपनी सीमा लांघी बल्कि संस्कृति और राजनीति ने भी अपनी सीमाएं लांघी।
वह रेशम मार्ग ही था जिससे हो कर भारत, चीन, ईरान, मिस्त्र, अरब और रोम जैसे बड़े साम्राज्य ना केवल व्यापारिक बल्कि ज्ञान, संस्कृति, धर्म और भाषाओं को एक दूसरे के साथ मिलने का मौका दिया। इस मार्ग से चीन जहां चाय, रेशम आदि का व्यापार करता था तो भारत अपने कपड़े, मसालों और कीमती रत्नों के लिए पूरी दुनिया से जुड़ा था।
कहते हैं सिल्क रूट या रेशम मार्ग के निर्माण में भारत के कुषाणों ने अहम भूमिका निभाई। प्राचीन और आधुनिक सभ्यताओं में व्यापार संबंधों के जुड़ाव का एक अहम हिस्सा रहा है। कहते हैं कि एक समय था जब रेशम पर चीन का एकमात्र प्रभुत्व था। कहानी की माने तो रेशम की खोज भी चीन में एक अनसुलझा रहस्य ही है। कहते हैं चीन की रानी सी लिंग शी एक बार मलबरी के पेड़ के नीचे चाय पी रही थी और ऊपर से एक रेशम का कीड़ा अपने कोकून के साथ चाय की प्याली में आ गिरा। जिसके बाद गर्म चाय के कारण कोकून और रेशम अलग होने लगे और वहीं से रेशम की खोज मानी जाती है। कहते हैं चीनियों ने सिल्क बनाने की कला को छिपा कर रखा। जो कोई भी रेशम के कारखानों के पास से भी गुजरता था उसकी सघन तलाशी होती थी। और अगर कोई भी रेशम के कीड़े का कोकून लिए मिल जाता तो उसे फांसी दे दी जाती थी। कहते हैं सिल्क के ऊपर चीन का आधिपत्य तब खत्म हुआ जब वहां की राजकुमारी का विवाह बाहर हुआ और अब भारत में भी रेशम का उत्पादन होने लगा।
हालांकि रेशम के कपड़ों के बारे में हमारे प्राचीन वेद और ग्रंथों में लिखा गया है। और तो और सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता से जुड़े स्थलों में भी रेशम के साक्ष्य मिले हैं। भारत में बुद्ध से लेकर मुगल तक के समय में रेशम और इसके कपड़े की महत्ता को इतिहास अपने में जगह देता रहा है। कहते है भारत में शायद ही कोई महिला हो जिसने अपनी पूरी जिंदगी में एक ना एक बार रेशम की साड़ी ना पहनी हो या इसे पहनने की ना सोची हो।
रेशम का धागा स्वाभाविक रूप से मुलायम और चमकदार होता है। इसलिए इससे से बने कपड़े हमेशा मुलायम, चमकदार और शाही होते हैं। इनमें पसीने को सोखने की अदभूत क्षमता होती है। जिसके कारण हमारी त्वचा में चर्म रोग के होने की कम से कम आशंका होती है। इनके बेहद सूक्ष्म छिद्रों के कारण आपकी त्वचा हमेशा सूखी रहती है।
