Dhanteras: धनत्रयोदशी यानी कि धनतेरस इस साल बहुत ही शुभ हस्त नक्षत्र में मनाई जाने वाली है। हस्त नक्षत्र के स्वामी ग्रह चंद्रमा हैं। इसलिए यह कहा जा रहा है कि इस साल की धनत्रयोदशी आर्थिक और राजनीतिक उथल-पुथल, बेचैनी, संवेदनशीलता, करुणा, उग्रता, प्रेम, दया, और कला को अपने अंदर समेटे रहने के आसार हैं। 10 नवंबर यानी कि शुक्रवार के दिन 12 बजकर 35 मिनट तक द्वादशी रहेगी और उसके पश्चात तेरस की तिथि शुरू होगी। 10 नवंबर को पूरे दिन हस्त नक्षत्र रहेगा।जो कि बहुत ही शुभ होने वाला है। शाम के 5 बजकर 2 मिनट तक विष्कुंभ योग बन रहा है और उसके बाद पृथी योग बना रहेगा। उदया तिथि 11 नवंबर को है परन्तु धन त्रयोदशी का मान 10 नवंबर को ही माना जाएगा। हस्त नक्षत्र में लक्ष्मी-कुबेर का पूजन, जहां आर्थिक स्थिरता पर अजीब असर डालेगा, वहीं निकट भविष्य में विचित्र आर्थिक और राजनीतिक परिस्थितियों का साक्षी होने के आसार है।
सूर्योदय से सूर्यास्त तथा सूर्यास्त से सूर्योदय के बीच का काल 30-30 घटी यानी घड़ी में मापा जाता है। 30 घटी को अष्ट अंग में बांटने पर दिन और रात की 8-8 चौघड़िया प्राप्त मिलती हैं। प्रत्येक चौघड़िया लगभग 4 घटी का होता है, इसलिए इसे चौ अर्थात चार + घड़िया, घटी, या बेला के नाम से संबोधित किया जाता है। इसे चतुर्श्तिका भी कहते हैं।
कहते हैं लक्ष्मी हमेशा हिसाब किताब यानी बही खाते में निवास करती हैं। धन त्रयोदशी के शुभ दिन पर बही खाता यानी पुस्तक खरीदने और उसके पूजन का विशेष महत्व है। बही खाता, चोपड़ा यानी खाता लिखने वाली पुस्तक का क्रय शुभ चौघड़िया में ही करना चाहिए। धन त्रयोदशी पर रजत अर्थात् चांदी ख़रीदना भाग्योदय कारक है। इस दिन ख़रीदे हुए रजत में नौ गुणा वृद्धि होती है। सोना चांदी और अन्य धातु वृष लग्न में खरीदना चाहिए। मोबाइल और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स सामान, शुभ-चौघड़िया, उद्वेग-चौघड़िया और कुंभ लग्न में घर लाना शुभ है।
