TULSI VIVAH:तुलसी कहने को एक पौधा मात्र हो सकता है। लेकिन शास्त्रों में इसे लेकर कई सारी बाते कही गई हैं। वैसे तो तुलसी के औषधीय महत्व को आज का विज्ञान भी मानता है। लेकिन इसकी जड़े भारतीय संस्कृति में बहुत पुरानी जमी है। भारत ने तुलसी को केवल एक पौधे के रूप में नहीं देखा है बल्कि इसके अध्यात्मिक और सांस्कृतिक महत्व को समझाने की कोशिश की है। इस साल भारतीय संस्कृति में अति पूजनीय पौधों की श्रेणी में सबसे उच्च स्थान पाने वाली तुलसी के विवाह का पावन पर्व आज ही है। कहते हैं तुलसी का विवाह स्वयं नारायण के रूप से कराया जाता है। वैसे तो हिंदू धर्म में जैसे सावन का महीना शिव को समर्पित है। उसी तरह कार्तिक का महीना श्री हरि की पूजा के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है। देवशयनी एकादशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु चार माह के लिए योग निद्रा में चले जाते हैं और फिर कार्तिक माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी यानी देवउठनी एकादशी के दिन योग निद्रा से जागते हैं। भगवान विष्णु के योग निद्रा से जागने के बाद ही मांगलिक कार्यों की शुरुआत होती है।
कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वादशी तिथि को तुलसी विवाह किया जाता है। इस दिन माता लक्ष्मी के स्वरूप तुलसी और भगवान विष्णु के स्वरूप शालिग्राम की विधि-विधान से पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। मान्यता है कि इस दिन तुलसी और शालिग्राम का विवाह कराने से कन्या दान करने के बराबर पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है।
आइये जाने तुलसी विवाह के पीछे की कहानी
शास्त्रों के अनुसार दैत्यराज कालनेमी की कन्या वृंदा, का विवाह जालंधर नाम के राक्षस के साथ हुआ। जालंधर महाराक्षस था। अपनी सत्ता के मद में चूर रहने वाला जालंधर ने माता लक्ष्मी को पाने की कामना से युद्ध किया। चूंकि जालंधर के समुद्र से ही उत्पन्न होने के कारण माता लक्ष्मी ने उसे अपने भाई के रूप में स्वीकार किया। इसलिए वहां से पराजित होने के बाद वह देवी पार्वती को पाने की लालसा से कैलाश पर्वत की ओऱ रूख किया।
भगवान देवाधिदेव महादेव का रूप धर कर वह माता पार्वती के समीप गया। परंतु मां ने अपने योगबल से उसे तुरंत पहचान लिया। तथा वहां से अंतर्ध्यान हो गईं। देवी पार्वती ने क्रुद्ध होकर सारी बातें भगवान विष्णु को बताईं। जालंधर की पत्नी वृंदा अत्यन्त पतिव्रता स्त्री थी। उसी के पतिव्रता धर्म की शक्ति के कारण जालंधर न तो मारा जाता था और न ही पराजित होता था। इसलिए जालंधर का नाश करने के लिए वृंदा के पतिव्रता धर्म को भंग करना बहुत आवश्यक था।
जिसके कारण भगवान विष्णु को एक ऋषि का वेश धारण कर वृंदा के समीप जान पड़ा और अपनी लीला करनी पड़ी। वृंदा जब अकेली भ्रमण कर रही थी तब भगवान ने दो मायावी राक्षसों से वृंदा को बचाकर उनका वध करने का स्वांग रचा। वृंदा ने ऋषि रूप में नारायण के इस लीला को यर्थाथ मान कर ऋषि को कहा कि आप काफी प्रभावी जान पड़ते हैं इसलिए क्या आप मुझे मेरे पति जालंधर के बारे में बता सकते हैं कि वह कैसे हैं और किस परिस्थिति में हैँ।
भगवान विष्णु ने अपनी माया से यह दिखाया कि जालंधर का वध कर दिया गया है और उसका शरीर दो भागों में विभक्त है। यह दृश्य देखकर वृंदा अचेत हो कर धरती पर गिर गई । मूर्छा टूटने पर उसने ऋषि से जालंधर को जीवित कर देने की याचना की और भगवान नारायण ने लीला वश उसे जीवित कर दिया। और उस माया शरीर में प्रवेश कर जालंधर के रूप में वृंदा के साथ रहने लगे। जिससे वृंदा का स्तीत्व भंग हो गया और जालंधर की सुरक्षा घेरा टूट गया।
इसके बाद जालंधर को मार पाना आसान हो गया। इस सारी लीला का जब वृंदा को पता चला तो उसने क्रोध वश भगवान विष्णु को हृदयहीन शिला में बदल जाने का श्राप दे डाला। भगवान विष्णु ने अपने भक्त के श्राप को स्वीकार किया और शालिग्राम पत्थर में बदल गए। इसके सारा संसार असंतुलित हो गया। सभी देवताओं ने वृंदा से श्राप को वापस लेने का निवेदन किया जिसके बाद उसने भगवान विष्णु को श्राप मुक्त कर के स्वयं का अग्निदाह कर लिया।
जहां वृंदा भस्म हुईं, वहां तुलसी का पौधा उग गया। भगवान विष्णु ने वृंदा से कहा: हे वृंदा। तुम अपने सतीत्व के कारण मुझे लक्ष्मी से भी अधिक प्रिय हो गई हो। अब तुम तुलसी के रूप में सदा मेरे साथ रहोगी। जो मनुष्य भी मेरे शालिग्राम रूप के साथ तुलसी का विवाह करेगा उसे इस लोक और परलोक में विपुल यश प्राप्त होगा।
तब से ऐसी मान्यता है कि जिस घर में तुलसी होती हैं। वहां यम के दूत भी असमय नहीं जा सकते। मृत्यु के समय जिसके प्राण मंजरी रहित तुलसी और गंगा जल मुख में रखकर निकल जाते हैं, वह पापों से मुक्त होकर वैकुंठ धाम को प्राप्त होता है। जो मनुष्य तुलसी व आंवलों की छाया में अपने पितरों का श्राद्ध करता है, उसके पितर मोक्ष को प्राप्त हो जाते हैं।
