Lohri and story of dulla Bhatti: सिख और पंजाबियों के लिए लोहड़ी बड़ा ही खास मौका है। इस पर्व को मकर संक्रांति के एक दिन पहले मनाने का रिवाज है। इस उत्सव के पीछे सांस्कृतिक के साथ-साथ भौगोलिक कारण भी हैं। कहते हैं लोहड़ी के बाद दिन बड़े होने लगते हैं और हिन्दी कलेण्डर का माघ महीना भी शुरु हो जाता है। इस त्यौहार को पंजाब के अलावा हरियाणा और दिल्ली में भी बड़े धूम-धाम से मनाते हैं। लोहड़ी की रात सूर्य धनु राशि से निकलकर मकर राशि में प्रवेश करता है।
लोहड़ी का पर्व काफी धूम-धड़ाके से मनाया जाता है। इस रात, लोग खुली जगह पर लकड़ी और उपले ( गोबर के कंडे) के ढ़ेर में आग जलाई जाती है, जिसके बाद इस पवित्र अग्नि के चारों ओर परिक्रमा करते हुए उसमें नई फसल, तिल, गुड़, रेवड़ी, मूंगफली और गन्ने की आहुती डालते हैं। इस रात महिलाओं के द्वार बहुत ही सुंदर लोक गीतों की प्रस्तुति भी देती हैं। ढ़ोल नगाड़ो की आवाज, महिलाओं की लोक गीत, ठंड की सुगबुगाहट और आग की गरमी, इस पर्व की सार्थकता को कहीं ज्यादा बढ़ा देते हैं। इन सब के बीच सभी लोग ताल मिलाकर नाचते है और एक दूसरे को लोहड़ी की लख-लख बधाईयां भी देते हैं।
नई फसल से है इसका नाता-
जीवन और प्रकृति के मेल से पृथ्वी अपने रंग भरती है। पारंपरिक तौर पर लोहड़ी फसल की कटाई से जुड़ा पर्व रहा है। फसल के पहले दाने को आभार के रूप में अग्नि को समर्पित करने की प्रथा है, लोहड़ी। सूर्य के उत्तरायण होने की सुगबुगाहट है, लोहड़ी। रवि फसल यानी कि मूंगफली, गन्ने और तिल को अर्पित कर सभी यह प्रार्थना करते हैं कि जीवन के उमंग और फसल की पैदावार यूं ही बनी रहे। हर साल अच्छे पैदावार से प्रकृति और जीवन का संतुलन स्थापित हो और मानव जाती ऐसे ही लाखों सालों तक अपनी अस्तित्व को बचाए रखे।
क्यों सुनाई जाती है लोहड़ी पर दुल्ला-भट्टी की कहानी?
कहते हैं मुगलों के समय में पंजाब में दुल्ला भट्टी नाम का एक शख्स रहता था। उस वक्त कुछ लोग अपने मनाफे के लिए सामान के बदले लड़कियों का सौदा किया करते थे। इस बात के बारे में जब दुल्ला भट्टी को पता लगा तो वह अंदर से सहम गया और उसने इसके लिए कुछ करने की ठानी। अपनी चतुराई से उसने लड़कियों को व्यापारियों के ना सिर्फ छुड़ाया बल्कि उनका विवाह भी करवाया। तब से वह अपने सामाज में नायक के तौर पर देखा जाने लगा और लोग लोड़डी के पावन अवसर पर इस कहानी के द्वारा लोगों को महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं।
