विश्व चैंपियन मैरी कॉम ने मुक्केबाजी से लिया संन्यास, फैंस का टूट गया दिल
Marry Kom Retirement: भारत की स्टार महिला मुक्केबाज मैरी कॉम ने बीते दिन बुधवार को एक कार्यक्रम में अपने संन्यास को लेकर ऐलान कर दिया है। बीते कुछ दिनों से मीडिया में यह खबर आ रही थी कि विश्व चैम्पियन मैरी कॉम अपने सफर को विराम देते हुए मुक्केबाजी को अलविदा कर सकती हैं। हालांकि इस खबर पर अपनी स्थिति साफ करने के बाद मैरी कॉम के फैंस को बड़ा झटका लगा है। आपको बता दें कि मैरी कॉम छह बार की वर्ल्ड चैंपियन के साथ 2012 की ओलंपिक विनर भी हैं। उनका पूरा नाम मैंगटे चुंगनेइजैंग मैरी कॉम है।
एक कार्यक्रम में शिरकत करते हुए मैरी कॉम ने बताया कि उनकी उम्र 41 साल की हो गई है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुक्केबाज संघ (IBA) के नियम के अनुसार मुक्केबाजी की प्रतियोगिता में केवल 40 वर्ष तक के पुरूष और महिलाएं ही भाग ले सकती हैं। जिस कारण उन्हें भरे मन से खुद को इससे दूर होना पड़ रहा है। उनकी उम्र सीमा उनके करियर के बीच में आ रही है। मैरी कॉम ने कहा- “मुझमें अभी भी खेलने की भूख है लेकिन दुर्भाग्यवश उनकी उम्र सीमा खत्म हो गई है। जिसके कारण मैं अब मुक्केबाजी प्रतियोगिता में भाग नहीं ले सकती”।
आपको बता दें कि मैरी कॉम मुक्केबाजी में छह बार विश्व चैंपियन बनने वाली पहली महिला खिलाड़ी हैं। वह कुल पांच बार एशिया चैंपियन भी रह चुकी हैं। उन्होंने2014 के एशियाई खेल के बॉक्सिंग प्रतियोगिता में गोल्ड मैडल जीत कर इतिहास रचा था। ऐसा करने वाली वह भारत की पहली महिला बॉक्सर थीं। मैरी कॉम की जिंदगी संघर्षो से भरी थी। इन सब के बावजूद उन्होंने हार नहीं मानी और अपनी मेहनत के दम पर मेडल हासिल किया। महज 18 साल की उम्र में खुद को दुनिया के सामने पेश हुईं। मैरी कॉम पर फिल्म भी बन चुकी है। जिसमें बॉलिवुड की स्टार कास्ट प्रियंका चोपड़ा भूमिका में थीं।
