आप और हम सुनते आए हैं, फलों का राजा है आम. आम का जो स्वाद मिथिला में है, वह कहीं और नहीं मिलता है. हाल ही में राजधानी दिल्ली के प्रेस क्लब ऑफ़ इंडिया में मैथिल पत्रकार ग्रुप की ओर से तीसरा आम महोत्सव का आयोजन किया गया, तो लोगों ने जमकर आम का रसास्वदन लिया. यही तो है मिथिला की मिठास.
इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य राज्य मंत्री अश्वनी चौबे ने कहा है कि मिथिला के आम को दुनिया के बाजार में जगह दिलाने के लिए पहल की जाएगी. इसके लिए वाणिज्य मंत्रालय और अन्य व्यवसायिक संगठनों से चर्चा की जाएगी. यहां के मालदा, जर्दालु, बंबई किस्म के आम दुनिया के किसी भी अन्य आम की तुलना में कम नहीं है. केवल उन्हें बाजार तक पहुंच देने की जरूरत है. वह अपनी जगह अपनी क्वालिटी से स्वयं बना लेंगे. अश्वनी चौबे ने यह बात मैथिल पत्रकार ग्रुप की ओर से प्रेस क्लब में आयोजित तीसरे मिथिला आम महोत्सव में कही. इसके सह—आयोजक प्रेस एसोसियेशन, द वूमेंस प्रेस कॉपर्स एवं प्रेस क्लब आफॅ इंडिया थे.
अश्वनी चौबे ने कहा कि बिहार के मिथिलांचल में आम की कई वैरायटी या किस्म ऐसी है कि वे दुनिया के श्रेष्ठतम आम का मुकाबला कर सकते हैं. उन्हें बाजार कैसे मिलेगा. उसकी पैदावर में किस तरह के सुधार या बेहतरी की जरूरत है, इसके लिए कैसे एक विस्तृत बाजार प्रवेश का अभियान चलाया जा सकता है, इस पर कार्य करने की जरूरत है. हम इसके लिए समुचित कदम उठाएंगे. मैथिल पत्रकार ग्रुप ने मिथिला के आम को दिल्ली में लोगों के बीच रखा है, इसके लिए हम उनका धन्यवाद भी करते हैं.
मैथिल पत्रकार ग्रुप के संतोष ठाकुर और दीपक झा ने कहा कि हमारा प्रयास होगा कि हम अगले वर्ष से मिथिला के आम उत्पादकों को भी यहां पर लाएं. उनके आम को बिक्री के लिए यहां पर रखें। फिलहाल तक हम केवल आम खाने के लिए लोगों को आमंत्रित करते रहे हैं. लेकिन अगले वर्ष से आम की बिक्री का विकल्प भी दिया जाएगा क्योंकि मिथिला के आम की काफी मांग यहां पर है. हमें उम्मीद है कि इसके माध्यम से हम मिथिलांचल बिहार के आम को एक बाजार देने में सफल रहेंगे. इस दौरान मैथिल पत्रकार गु्रप ने बिहार खासकर मुजफ्फरपुर में आए चमकी बुखार और उससे नौनिहालों की हुई मौतों को लेकर केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य राज्यमंत्री अश्विनी चैबे को एक ज्ञापन दिया.
