बीते शुक्रवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्रियों पी वी नरसिम्हा राव, चौधरी चरण सिंह और कृषि वैज्ञानिक एम एस स्वामीनाथन को भारत रत्न देने की घोषणा की है, आपको बता दें की इन से पहले 23 जनवरी को बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री कर्पूरी ठाकुर को भारत रत्न देने की घोषणा’ की गई थी।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ‘एक्स’ पर पोस्ट करके कहा की, मुझे ये बताते हुए खुशी हो रही है की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री चौधरी चरण सिंह को भारत रत्न से नवाजा जाएगा| उन्होंने अपना पूरा जीवन किसानों के अधिकार और कल्याण के लिए समर्पित कर दिया | उनके विजनरी लीडरशीप ने देश को आर्थिक रुप से मजबूत बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई थी। एक्स पर ही एक अन्य पोस्ट में उन्होंने पी वी नरसिम्हा राव को भी भारत रत्न देने की घोषणा की है।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने वैज्ञानिक एम एस स्वामीनाथन को भारत रत्न देने की घोषणा करते हुए कहा, “उन्होंने भारत की कृषि को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने में अपने सभी अच्छे प्रयास किया है। अपने दूरदृष्टि के जरिए भारत की कृषि में बदलाव लाए हैं। वह एक ऐसे व्यक्ति थे जिन्हें मैं अच्छे से जानता था।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ‘एक्स’ पर पोस्ट करके कहा कि देश के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री ‘नरसिम्हा राव’ ने अपने प्रभावशाली परिवर्तन से भारत की संस्कृति और बौद्धिक विकास को बढ़ाया था। इस पर नरसिम्हा राव जी की बेटी वाणी ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का आभार जताते हुए कहा कि, नरसिम्हा राव जी उस वक्त प्रधानमंत्री बने थे, जब देश मुश्किलों से गुजर रहा था, जिसकी प्रशंसा पूरे विश्व ने की थी।
इस पर बहुजन समाज पार्टी की नेता मायावती ने कहा की सरकार जिन हस्तियों को भारत रत्न से सम्मानित कर रही है, उनको शुभकामनाए पर प्रधानमंत्री को दलित हस्तियों का तिरस्कार नहीं करना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा की ‘बाबा साहेब’ डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर को वी.पी. सिंह की सरकार द्वारा भारत रत्न से सम्मानित किया गया था साथ ही उन्होंने दलित के मसीहा कांशीराम जी को भारत रत्न से सम्मानित करने की अपनी बात को भी रखा।
