भारत में वैसे तो बहुत सी भाषाओँ में फ़िल्में बनती है, और उसका अपना एक दर्शक वर्ग भी है. लेकिन इन सभी फिल्मों के एक्टर्स में एक बात कॉमन है, ये बातें सिर्फ अंग्रेजी में ही करना पसंद करते हैं. भोजपुरी, दक्षिण भारतीय या किसी और क्षेत्रीय भाषायों की फिल्मों का एक्टर्स क्यों न हो, प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में अगर इन से हिंदी में भी सवाल पूछा जाय तो भी ये जबाव इंग्लिश में ही देना पसंद करते हैं.
भारतीय फिल्मों के सितारें देश विदेश में नाम कमा रहे हैं. टैलेंट से भरपूर बॉलीवुड इंडस्ट्री हमें ऐसी फिल्में देती है जो कभी दिलों को जोड़ती है तो कभी दिलों को तोड़ती है, कभी हँसाती है तो कभी रुलाती है, कभी डराती है तो कभी नचाती भी है. कभी देश के लिए प्यार बढाती है तो कभी देश के इतिहास को बताती है. बॉलीवुड सही मायनों में सतरंगी दुनियां है जिसमें जिंदगी के सारे रंग मौजूद हैं.
हिंदी फिल्मों से जुड़ने का मतलब है आप भारत में सबसे ज्यादा बोली जाने वाली हिंदी भाषा से जुड़ रहे हैं. फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के एक्टर्स अपनी अदाकारी से लोगों को इसके साथ जोड़ रहे हैं. जब फिल्में लोगों के बीच किसी मुद्दे को रखती है तो लोगों को फिल्मों के माध्यम से उस मुद्दे पर बहुत कुछ समझ आता है. फिल्में हिंदी में तो बन जाती हैं लेकिन जब उसको प्रमोट करने की बारी आती है तो वही कलाकार अंग्रेजी में प्रमोशन करते हैं. ऐसा लगता है मानो उन्हें हिंदी आती ही नहीं है या समझ ही नहीं है. एक अभिनेता या अभिनेत्री लाखों लोगों के आदर्श होते हैं. अपने पसंदीदा कलाकार को हर कोई फॉलो करता है, अपना रोल मॉडल मानता है, पर ज़रूरी तो नहीं जो उनको अपना रोल मॉडल मानते हो वो अंग्रेजीवादी हो. समझ नहीं आता जब कलाकार हिंदी सिनेमा में काम रहे और हिंदी बोल कर पैसा कमा रहे तब बाहरी दुनिया में उनको अंग्रेजी बोलकर क्या बताना चाहते हैं. हिंदी सिनेमा में अंग्रेजी एक ब्लैक होल जैसी है जो हिंदी भाषा को खाते जा रही. ऐसा प्रतीत होता है की कुछ सालों में हिंदी का प्रचलन खुद हिंदी सिनेमा से ही गायब हो जायेगा. कलाकार हिंदी भाषी देश में रहकर हिंदी बोलने में शरमा रहे.
पर जब हम अपनी नज़र बॉलीवुड में दौड़ाते हैं तो कई ऐसे सितारे भी नज़र आते हैं जिन्हें अंग्रेजी नहीं आती या जो अंग्रेजी बोलना पसंद नहीं करते. लोगो को हँसाने वाले कपिल शर्मा, ‘सबका बदला लेगा रे तेरा फैजल’ के नवाज़ुद्दीन सिद्दीकी, ‘बॉलीवुड क्वीन’ कंगना रानौत, खिलाडी अक्षय कुमार ये कुछ ऐसे चमचमाते सितारों के नाम हैं जिनको बच्चा-बच्चा जानता है. ये सब जब बॉलीवुड में आये थे तो अंग्रेजी में कमजोर थे लेकिन तब भी इन्होंने अपनी अदाकारी से लोगों के दिलों में जगह बनायी और ये कुछ ऐसे कलाकार हैं जिन्हें अपनी भाषा बोलने में शर्म नहीं आती और अपनी भाषा का बढ़चढ़ कर प्रचार करते हैं. बॉलीवुड में रेखा जैसे कलाकार भी हैं जिनकी अंग्रेजी फर्राटेदार है लेकिन जब भी उनको मौका मिलता है तो वो हिंदी में बात करना ज्यादा पसंद करती हैं.
जब बॉलीवुड के नए कलाकार अपने पुराने कलाकारों को फॉलो करते हैं तो उनके हिंदी बोलने की चाह को क्यों नहीं फॉलो करते? ये सोचने लायक बात है की लोग खाते तो अपने देश की है लेकिन बातें विदेशियों जैसी करते हैं.
