नई दिल्ली।लगातार बढ़ रहे प्रदूषण और सरकार के इसे दूर करने की प्रतिबद्धता को लेकर चर्चा काफी जोरों शोरों पर है । केंद्रिय सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने एक बार फिर से अपने सोशल मीडिया के एक्स (ट्वीटर हैंडल) प्लेटफार्म से डीजल के गाड़ियों पर 10 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त जीएसटी लगाने की बात की। नितिन गडकरी ने सियाम के एक कार्यक्रम में शिरकत करते हुए कहा कि आज प्रदूषण अपने चरम पर है। समय आ गया है कि इस ओर सख्त कदम उठाए जाएं।
उन्होंने इस कार्यक्रम में कहा है कि उन्होंने सरकार को एक पत्र देन जा रहे हैं। जिसमें वे डीजल की गाड़ियों पर 10 प्रतिशत ज्यादा जीएसटी टैक्स लगाने की हिमायत कर रहे हैं। नितिन गडकरी ने कहा है कि इस अतिरिक्त टैक्स से गाड़ियो के ट्रांसफॉर्मेशन में तेजी आएगी। और इन पैसों का उपयोग पर्यावरण हितैषी योजनाओं में किया जाएगा।
सरकार का मानना है कि पारंपरिक फ्यूल से चलने वाली गाड़ियों की जगह वैकल्पिक ईंधनों के उपयोग पर ज्यादा जोड़ देने की जरूरत है। नितिन गडकरी ने वाहन निर्माताओं से भी अनुरोध किया है कि वे वैकल्पिक इंजन बनाने पर जोर दें। आने वाले समय में ग्रीन हाईड्रोजन से चलने वाली गाड़ियां बाजार में अपनी धमक पेश करने वाली हैं। इस तरह के वैक्लपिक ईंधन वाली गाड़ियों से बाजार में ग्राहकों के पास विक्ल्प की अधिकता होगी और पर्यावरण भी सुरक्षित रहेगा।
बताते चलें कि सरकार पहले से ही पर्यावरण हितैषी गाड़ियों को Fame India के अन्तर्गत सब्सिडी दे रही है। इनमें इलेक्ट्रिक कारें और बाइक शामिल हैं। नितिन गडकरी ने साफ किया कि उन्होंने इस बाबत सरकार को सिर्फ पत्र सौपेंगे। सरकार में इसे लेकर अभी कोई योजना साफ नहीं है।
