प्रेस एसोसिएशन के चुनाव नतीजे आ गए हैं। पीआईबी एक्रीडिएटेड-प्रत्यातित पत्रकारों की इस संस्था के चुनाव में जयशंकर गुप्ता अध्यक्ष, आनंद मिश्रा उपाध्यक्ष, सीके नायक महासचिव, कल्याण बरूआ संयुक्त सचिव व संतोष ठाकुर कोषाध्यक्ष चुने गए हैं। वहीं कार्यकारिणी सदस्यों में ए.बी. खां, केपी मलिक, हुमा खान, ए.दुबे व शाहिद अब्बास निर्वाचित हुए हैं। इस बार प्रेस एसोसिएशन में 328 वोट डाले गए। पिछले चुनाव में 342 वोट डाले गए थे।
प्रेस एसोसिएशन के उपाध्यक्ष आनंद मिश्रा और कोषाध्यक्ष संतोष ठाकुर ने कहा कि पत्रकारों की पेंशन, सीजीएचएस सुविधा को सरकारी कर्मचारियों के समरूप बनाने, रेलवे पास की वैधता 2 साल करने को लेकर सरकार से बातचीत की जाएगी।
कुछ मंत्रालयों में पीआईबी कार्ड होने के बावजूद भी पत्रकारों के प्रवेश बंदी पर भी सरकार से बातचीत की जाएगी। इसके अलावा मंत्रियों, अधिकारियों के साथ परस्पर संवाद का तंत्र भी विकसित किया जाएगा। प्रेस एसोसिएशन से टीवी पत्रकारों को जोडने के लिए भी कदम उठाए जाएंगे। इसके अलावा अन्य लंबित मसलों, जिनमें आवास आदि शामिल है, उन पर संबंधित लोगों से चर्चा की जाएगी।
