क्या हुआ था, जब ऋषि नारद ने ताप्ती पुराण को चुराया था ?
Tapti River: आज शनिवार विशेष में हम बात कर रहे हैं ताप्ती नदी की। मध्य भारत में बहने वाली एक नदी जो नर्मदा नदी के दक्षिण में बहती है। प्रायद्वीप भारत में केवल नर्मदा, ताप्ती और माही नदी ही ऐसी मुख्य नदियां हैं जो पूर्व से पश्चिम में बहती हैं। ताप्ती नदी मध्य प्रदेश राज्य के बैतूल जिले के मल्ताई से निकलती है और सतपुड़ा पर्वत के बीच से होकर महाराष्ट्र के पठार एवं सूरत के मैदान को पार करके गुजरात स्थित खम्भात की खाड़ी में गिरता है। लगभग 740 किलोमीटर की दूरी तय करती यह नदी के मुहाने पर सूरत का बन्दरगाह भी पड़ता है।
बैतूल जिले की मुलताई तहसील मुख्यालय के पास स्थित ताप्ती तालाब से निकलने वाली सूर्यपुत्री ताप्ती की जन्म कथा महाभारत में आदिपर्व पर उल्लेखित है। पुराणों में सूर्य भगवान की पुत्री तापी को स्वयं भगवान सूर्य ने उत्पन्न किया था। ऐसी मान्यता है कि भगवान सूर्य ने स्वयं की गर्मी या ताप से अपनी रक्षा करने के लिए ताप्ती को धरती पर अवतरित किया था। भगवान सूर्य और विश्वकर्मा की पुत्री संज्ञा या संजना से विवाह के उपरांत संजना की छाया और सूर्य से दो संतानें हुई। एक शनिचर और दूसरी ताप्ती। सूर्यपुत्री ताप्ती को उसके भाई शनिचर (शनिदेव) ने यह आशीर्वाद दिया कि जो भी भाई-बहन यम चतुर्थी के दिन ताप्ती और यमुनाजी में स्नान करेगा, उनकी कभी भी अकाल मृत्यु नहीं होगी।
आखिर क्यूं भगवान राम को ताप्ती के किनारे करना पड़ा अपने पिता का तर्पण?
ताप्ती की धार्मिक महत्ता के बारे में कहा गया है कि राजा दशरथ के कारण श्रवण कुमार की जल भरते समय अकाल मृत्यु हो गई थी। पुत्र की मृत्यु से दुखी श्रवण कुमार के माता-पिता ने राजा दशरथ को श्राप दिया था कि उसकी भी मृत्यु पुत्रमोह में होगी। इसलिए राजा दशरथ को हत्या का श्राप मिला था जिसके चलते उन्हें स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति नहीं हो सकी थी। इसलिए भगवान राम द्वारा बाद में अनुज लक्ष्मण एवं माता सीता की उपस्थिति में अपने पितरों एवं अपने पिता का तर्पण कार्य ताप्ती नदी में किया था।
शास्त्रों में कहा गया है कि जिस प्रकार महाकाल के दर्शन करने से अकाल मृत्यु नहीं होती, ठीक उसी प्रकार किसी भी अकाल मृत्यु की शिकार बनी देह की अस्थियां ताप्ती के जल में प्रवाहित करने से अकाल मृत्यु का शिकार बनी आत्मा को भी प्रेत योनि से मुक्ति मिल जाती है। कहते हैं ताप्ती नदी के बहते जल में बिना किसी विधि-विधान के यदि कोई भी व्यक्ति अतृप्त आत्मा को आमंत्रित करके उशे अपने दोनों हाथों में जल लेकर उसकी शांति एवं तृप्ति का संकल्प लेकर यदि उसे बहते जल में प्रवाहित कर देता है तो मृत व्यक्त की आत्मा को मुक्ति मिल जाती है। इसके बारे में यह भी काफी प्रचलित कथा है कि ताप्ती के पावन जल में 12 महीनों में कभी भी किसी भी मृत व्यक्ति का तर्पण किया जा सकता है।
आइये जाने ताप्ती के सात कुण्डों के बारे में-
सूर्यपुत्री ताप्ती जन्मस्थली मुलतापी में ताप्ती सरोवर एवं उससे लगे सीमा क्षेत्रों में सात कुण्ड अलग-अलग नामों से बने हुए हैं तथा उनकी अपनी अलग कहानी है।
सूर्यकुण्ड
इस कुण्ड के बारे में मान्यता है कि यहां पर भगवान सूर्य ने स्वयं स्नान किया था। उसके बाद उन्होंने बारी-बारी सभी कुण्डों की कथाओं एवं किवदंतियों को मूल स्वरूप देने के लिए सभी में बारी-बारी से स्नान किया था। यहां के बारे में एक कथा प्रचलित है कि यहां पर भगवान सूर्य साल में एक बार आकर अपना तेज ताप्ती के जल में कम करते हैं। इसलिए ताप्ती के पानी में सूर्य का तेज समाहित रहता है।
ताप्ती कुण्ड
कहते हैं अपने पिता के तेज से विचलित पशु-पक्षी, नर-किन्नर, देव-दानव की रक्षा करने के लिए ताप्ती अपने पिता के पसीने के तीन बूंद के रूप में आकाश, धरती और पाताल पहुंची। ताप्ती की एक बूंद ताप्ती कुण्ड में पहुंची जहां से वह गौमुख होती हुई आगे की ओर बह चली।
धर्म कुण्ड
कहते भगवान धर्मराज ने स्वयं इस कुण्ड में स्नान किया था। जिसके कारण इसे धर्म कुण्ड कहा जाने लगा। शास्त्रों में वर्णित रीति-रिवाजों के अनुसार तैतीस कोटी के देवी-देवताओं ने यहां पर बारी- बारी से स्नान-ध्यान किया था। यहां के सभी कुण्डों में ताप्ती सरोवर का ही पानी प्रवाहित होता है।
पाप कुण्ड
मान्यता है कि यहां पर सच्चे मन से पापी व्यक्ति अगर सूर्यपुत्री का ध्यान करके स्नान करता है या करती है तो उसके सारे पाप धुल जाते हैं।
नारद कुण्ड
यहां पर देवऋषि नारद ने ताप्ती पुराण चोरी करने के बाद श्राप प्रभावित हो कोढ़ के रोग से मुक्ति पाई थी। यहां पर नारद ऋषि ने 12 वर्षों तक मां ताप्ती की तपस्य़ा करके उनसे वर मांगा था कि उन्हें कोढ़ से मुक्ति मिले और उनका ताप्ती पुराण की चोरी के अभिश्राप से मुक्ति भी मिल जाए। ऋषि नारद के स्नान के कारण इसे नारद कुण्ड के नाम से जाना जाता है।
शनिकुण्ड
कहते हैं न्याय के देवता भगवान शनि स्वयं अपनी बहन ताप्ती के घर पर आने के बाद इसी कुण्ड में स्नान करने के बाद उनसे मिलने गए थे। जो कोई भी मनुष्य इस कुण्ड में स्नान आदि करता है, उसे शनिदेव के कोप से शांत एवं शनिदशा से छुटकारा मिल जाता है।
नागा बाबा कुण्ड
इस कुण्ड के बारे में मान्यता है कि यहां पर नागा सम्प्रदाय के लोगों ने कठोर तपस्या करके भगवान भोलेनाथ को प्रसन्न किया था। इसी कुण्ड के पास सफेद जनेऊ धारी शिव की जलेरी शिवलिंग भी मौजूद है।
