जीएसटी परिषद ने मिलेट्स से बने प्रोडक्ट्स पर कम किया टैक्स
Gst on millets: देश में मोटे अनाज को लेकर एक साकारात्मक खबर आ रही है। जीएसटी काउंसिल ने अपने बैठक में यह तय किया है कि मिलेट्स यानी की मोटे अनाज के आटे से तैयार चीजों पर जीएसटी की दर को 18 फीसदी से कम कर 5 फीसदी करने का फैसला किया गया है। जीएसटी परिषद की फिटमेंट समिति ने यह फैसला लिया है। फिटमेंट समिति ने शुरूआती समय में मोटे अनाज के पाउडर को जीएसटी छूट देने की सिफारिश की थी। हालांकि समिति ने मोटे अनाज से बने किसी भी उत्पाद को अलग से कोई भी इंसेंटिव देने से मना कर दिया है।
बतातें चलें कि भारत साल 2023 को मिलेट्स ईयर के रूप मना रहा है। भारत में मिलेट्स को स्वास्थ्य की दृष्टिकोण से काफी अच्छा माना जाता है। मिलेट्स बहुत समय से भारत की जलवायु में उगने वाला पौष्टिक खाधान्न की कैटेगरी में आता है। सरकार ने इस बार जी 20 की बैठक में भी मिलेट्स के फायद से विदेशी मेहमानों को अवगत कराने के लिए स्टॉल लगाया था। मिलेट्स को कम पानी की जरूरत होती है और न्यूनतम उर्वरकों तथा कीटनाशकों की मदद से उगाया जाता है। कम पानी की वजह से मिलेट्स को काफी जैवअनुकुलित फसल के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।
नई दिल्ली के सुषमा स्वराज भवन में जीएसटी परिषद की 52वीं बैठक की अध्यक्षता केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने किया। बैठक में केंद्रीय वित्त राज्य मंत्री पंकज चौधरी के साथ साथ राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के वित्त मंत्री तथा संबंधित विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित हैं। आपको पता हो कि जीएसटी परिषद समय-समय पर कर की दरों और नीतिगत बदलावों को लेकर बैठकें करती रहती है।
जीएसटी परिषद को देश में अप्रत्यक्ष कर की दरों को व्यवस्थित करने के लिए और सुधार के लिए बनाया गया था। जीएसटी परिषद देश की आय के लिए कर की दर को व्यवस्थित भी करता है और देश से जुड़े आर्थिक लक्ष्यों को रेखांकित कर अन्य राज्यों की सहमति से इसके सुचारू विकास को लागू करता है।
