66th Grammy Award: इस बार 66वां ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड्स में भारतीय गायकों का दबदबा रहा। रविवार की रात लॉस एंजिल्स में इस अवॉर्ड्स विनिंग सेरेमनी का आयोजन किया गया था, जिसमें बॉलीवुड से लेकर हॉलीवुड तक के नामचीन गायक और संगीतकार शामिल हुए। इस बार के ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड में भारतीयों का झंडा काफी बुलंद रहा। भारतीय गायक शंकर महादेवन और मशहूर तबला वादक जाकिर हुसैन को ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड से नवाजा गया। मजे की बात यह है कि उस्ताद जाकिर हुसैन को एक नहीं बल्कि तीन ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड मिले।
आपको बता दे कि जाकिर हुसैन और शंकर महादेवन को उनके एल्बम दिस मोमेंट के लिए इस पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। इस म्यूजिकल एल्बम में कुल तकरीबन आठ गाने हैं जिसे लीजेंड्री कलाकारों की बैंड शक्ति ने गाया है। इस बैंड में शंकर महादेवन और जाकिर हुसैन के अलावा जॉन मैकलॉलिन, वी सेल्वागणेश सहित कई अन्य बड़े कलाकार भी साथ काम कर रहे थे। इसके साथ ही बांसुरी वादक राकेश चौरसिया को भी बेस्ट बांसुरी वादन की कैटेगरी में दो ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड्स से नवाजा गया।

साल 1968 में मशहूर सितार वादक स्वर्गीय पंडित रवि शंकर को पहली बार ग्रैमी अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया था। सितार की धुन के महाज्ञानी पंडित रवि शंकर जी ने अपने जीवन काल में कुल 5 बार ग्रैमी अवार्ड प्राप्त किया था। संगीत की दुनिया में काम को देखते हुए उन्हें ग्रैमी की ओर से लाइफ टाइम अचीवमेंट अवॉर्ड से भी सम्मानित किया गया था।
पंडित जी से यह सिलसिला शुरू होकर भारत के कई नामी संगीतकार को यह ग्रैमी अवॉर्ड मिल चुका है। जिसमें जाकिर हुसैन, गुलजार, ए आर रहमान, शंकर महादेवन और जुबैन मेहता जैसे कई संगीतकार शामिल हैं।
