Karpoori thakur 100th birth anniversary : बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री, समाजवादी नेता कर्पूरी ठाकुर के मरणोपरांत भारत रत्न देने की घोषणा की गई है। केंद्र सरकार की तरफ से इस ऐलान के जन-नायक कर्पूरी ठाकुर जी की 100वी जयंती यानी कि 24 जनवरी के एक दिन पहले ही की गई है। आपको बता दें कि कर्पूरी ठाकुर की पहचान एक स्वतंत्रता सेनानी, शिक्षक और राजनीतिज्ञ के रूप में रही है। बिहार राज्य के दूसरे उप-मुख्यमंत्री और मुख्यमंत्री के पद पर दो बर रहने वाले कर्पूरी ठाकुर को जनता जन-नायक कह कर बुलाती थी।
कर्पूरी ठाकुर को भारत रत्न दिए जाने की घोषणा के बाद समूचे राजनीतिक हलके में इसको लेकर चर्चाएं तेज हैं। इस पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी से लेकर बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नितिश कुमार ने खुशी जाहिर की है। पीएम मोदी ने कहा है कि, “मुझे खुशी है कि सामाजिक न्याय के महान जन-नायक के जन्मशती के मौके पर भारत सरकार ने यह निर्णय लिया है। यह प्रतिष्ठा सम्मान, हाशिए पर रह रहे लोगों के लगातार प्रयास को प्रमाणित करने की एक अग्रणी पहल है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि, दलितों के उत्थान के लिए उनकी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता और उनके दूरदर्शी ने देश के सामाजिक- राजनीतिक ताने-बाने को बुनने में एक अहम भूमिका निभाई है।
आपको बता दें कि, कर्पूरी ठाकुर को जन-नायक कहकर संबोधित किया जाता है। उनका जन्म बिहार के समस्तीपुर जिले में पितौंझिया गांव में हुआ था। जाति की बात करें तो वे नाई समाज से आते थें। उनका जन्म 24 जनवरी 1924 के हुआ था। 1952 में पहली बार विधायक बनने के बाद वह ताउम्र किसी न किसी सदन का हिस्सा जरूर रहें। 1970 से 79 के बीच ठाकुर जी दो बार बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री पद पर आसीन हुए। राजनीतिक जानकार बताते हैं कि इतने बड़े पद पर रहने के बाद भी उनके पास न अपना घर था और न ही गाड़ी। उनके पास पैतृक संपत्ति भी नहीं थी।
इस ईमानदार, लोकप्रिय, समाजवादी नेता का निधन 64 वर्ष की आयु में 17 फरवरी 1988 को हुआ था। इन्होंने आजीवन कांग्रेस के विरूद्ध ही राजनीति की। आपातकाल के दौरान इंदिरा जी ने इन्हें गिरफ्तार करने की कोशिश की लेकिन वे कामयाब नहीं हो सकीं। कर्पूरी जी परिवारवाद के प्रबल विरोधी थे। अपने जीते जी उन्हें अपने परिवार के किसी भी सदस्य को राजनीति में नहीं आने दिया।
