पतंग का इतिहास
भारत में पतंगबाजी का खेल तो सदियों पुराना है ही साथ में काफी प्रसिद्ध भी है। भारत के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में अलग-अलग अवसरों पर पतंग उड़ाने की परंपरा है। जितने रंग है पतंगों में उनसे कुछ कम नहीं है हमारी संस्कृति में। पतंग से संबंधित इतिहास को खंगालने पर पता चलता है कि यह लगभग 2000 साल पुराना है। कहते हैं पतंग उड़ाने का सबसे पहले लिखी जानकारी चीन के हान राजवंश में मिलती है। लेकिन इस साक्ष्य को लेकर दुनिया में एकमत का अभाव है। कुछ लोगों का मानना है कि चीनी यात्री “फाहियान” और “हुयेनसांग” भारत में पतंग को लेकर आए थे। पतंग को चाहे जो कोई भी हमारे देश लेकर आया हो। बात इतनी है कि हजारों साल पुराने इस पतंगबाजी के खेल में मजा बहुत आता है। हमारे देश में अलग-अलग स्थानों में अलग-अलग अवसरों पर पतंग उड़ाए जाते रहे हैं। आइए देखते हैं कि भारत में कब-कब पतंगें उड़ाई जाती है।
भारत में कब और कहां उड़ती है पतंगें
जैसा कि आप जानते हो, भारत विविधताओं से भरा देश है। अनेक रंग, अनेक भाषा लेकिन हां दिल एक है। हम भारतवासी सभी त्यौहारों को पूरे दिल से मनाते हैं। त्यौहारों के रंग हमारी जिंदगी में भी रंग भरते हैं, जिसका एक उदाहरण हैं पतंगबाजी। पंजाब के क्षेत्र में वसंत पंचमी पर बसंत पतंग महोत्सव बड़े धूम-धाम से मनाया जाता है। इसमें लोग एक दूसरे से पतंगों की प्रतियोगिता रखते हैं और खूब मजे करते हैं। जीत का फैसला करने के लिए जज भी बनाया जाता है। रंगीन पतंग, रंगीन खुशियां भी लेकर आता है।
भारत के पश्चिमी हिस्से में मकर संक्रांति यानी कि उत्तरायण पर पतंगोत्सव को तो पूरी दुनिया जानती है। इसका लुत्फ लेने के लिए गुजरात जैसे राज्यों में बकायदा बड़े आयोजनों की व्यवस्था होती है जिसमें देशी-विदेशी सभी सैलानी अपनी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करते हैं। गुजरात के इस पतंगोत्सव को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पतंग महोत्सव भी कहते हैं। देश के दक्षिणी भाग में पोंगल पर पतंग को उड़ाया जाता है। वैसे तो यह भी उत्तरायण का ही पर्व है।
