कौन थीं लोपामुद्रा..
जब दुनिया महिला के शिक्षा को लेकर चौतरफा बहस कर रही है। नारी शिक्षा जहां बहस का एक अहम मुद्दा बना हुआ है। वहीं भारतीय संस्कृति में कई ऐसी नारी विभूतियों ने जन्म लिया है,जो की समाज को एक नई राह दिखाने में उस समय अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई थीं। जिस समय विश्व के अन्य समाज में शायद ही कोई इस तरह के उदाहरण देखने को मिलते हों।
जी हां हम बात कर रहे हैं भारत के प्राचीन संस्कृति की विदुषी लोपामुद्रा की। लोपामुद्रा प्राचीन भारत की महान दार्शनिकों में से एक थीं। लोपामुद्रा को हमारे शास्त्रों में वरप्रदा और कौशीतकी भी कह कर बुलाया जाता है। लोपामुद्रा को वैदर्भी भी कहत हैं क्योंकि विदर्भराज निमि ने इनका पालन पोषण किया था। लोपामुद्रा के पति महर्षि अगस्त के बारे में हमें ऋगवेद में जानने को मिलता है। हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, ऋषि अगस्त्य ने अपनी पत्नी लोपामुद्रा को अपनी कल्पना से बनाया था। फिर उन्होंने उसे विदर्भ के राजा को दे दिया, जो निःसंतान थे। जब लोपामुद्रा बड़ी हुई तो अगस्त्य ने राजा से विवाह के लिए उसका हाथ मांगा और राजा सहमत हो गए।महाभारत की कथा के अनुसार अगस्त्य मुनि को अपने पितरों की मुक्ति के लिए विवाह करने की इच्छा हुई। अपने योग्य कोई कन्या न मिलने पर उन्होंने विभिन्न जंतुओं के अंश लेकर एक कन्या की रचना की। लेकिन संतान के लिए आतुर विदर्भराज को दे दिया। यही लोपामुद्रा थीं। वो बहुत सुंदर और बुद्धिमान थीं। उनके सौंदर्य के चर्चे तब हर ओर थे। लिहाजा जब उन्होंने ऋषि अगस्त्य से शादी करना स्वीकार किया, उससे लोगों को हैरानी भी हुई कि ऐसी रूपवती और राजसी कन्या क्यों किसी ऋषि से शादी कर रही है और उस शादी के लिए अपना ऐश्वर्य छोड़ देगी।
पुराणों के अनुसार लोपामुद्रा को काशी के राजा से विपुल सम्पत्ति प्राप्त हुई थी। ‘आनन्द रामायण’ में उसके पास अपरिमित मात्रा में अन्न देने वाली एक ‘अक्षय थाली’ होने का भी उल्लेख है। एक अन्य उल्लेख में लोपामुद्रा को दक्षिण के पाण्यराजा मलयध्वज की पुत्री बताया गया है। ऋषि अगस्त्य दक्षिण से ही अधिक सम्बन्धित थे। वनवास काल में राम लोपामुद्रा और अगस्त्य से मिलने उनके आश्रम में गए थे। ऋषि ने उन्हें धनुष, अक्षय तूरीण आदि उपहार में दिए थे।
ऋगवेद में कुल 27 महिला विदूषियों के बारे में बताया गया है। लोपामुद्रा से संबंधित मंत्र में कुल 6 छंद है। जो कि देवी रति को समर्पित हैं। कुल 6 छंदों में से 2 लोपामुद्रा के द्वारा लिखी गई है और 2 ऋषि अग्स्त के द्वारा तथा शेष 2 उनके शिष्य के द्वारा लिखे जाने की बात कही गई है। लोपामुद्रा से संबंधित मंत्र तथा छंदो में पति और पत्नी के बीच के संबंधों के बारे में व्याख्या है। संबंधित मंत्रों में ब्रह्मचर्य के बारे में भी बताया गया है।
तो हमारे भारत में कोई आज से महिला शिक्षा की बात नहीं की जाती। यह हमारे संस्कृति का हिस्सा रही है। समय के साथ कुछ मान्यताओं के कारण इसमें पिछड़ापन आ गया है लेकिन अगर फिर से विश्व पटल पर अपने संस्कृति की छाप छोड़नी है तो हमें अपने पुराने शिक्षा व्यवस्था को एक बार फिर से पुनर्जीवित करना होंगा।
