पश्चिमी देशों से समय समय पर कई महामारियों ने जन्म लिया है जो समूचे मानव जाति के लिए खतरा बनी! एचआईवी जैसी जानलेवा बीमारी कांगो से निकली और अब तक लाखों जानें ले चुकी है! निप्पाह वायरस मलेशिया से निकला, इबोला साऊथ सूडान से, हांगकांग से बर्ड फ्लू, मर्स मिडिल ईस्ट देशों से। पिछले कुछ सालों से डेंगू सुर्ख़ियों में है। डेंगू का वायरस मनिला से निकल कर आया। और अब चीन से निकला कोरोना वायरस पूरी मानवजाति के लिए खतरा बना हुआ है।
भारत के चरणों में महासागर भी पछाड़ खा वंदना में लग जाता है। इस तुच्छ वायरस की क्या बिसात? यहाँ का उष्ण कटिबन्धीय क्षेत्र और तापमान कोरोना वायरस को पनपने नहीं देगा ऐसा विश्वास है! भारत ज्ञान, ज्योतिष, दर्शन, सांख्यकी और विज्ञान तो दे सकता है लेकिन कोरोना जैसे वायरस नहीं।
