कहा जाता है कि कृष्ण की लीलाओं में सम्पूर्ण संसार है. इसीलिए कृष्ण को सम्पूर्णता में परिभाषित करना सभी के लिए मुश्किल है. अपने सम्पूर्ण जीवन में कृष्ण ने इतने रूप दिखाए हैं कि किसी एक रूप को दूसरे से अलग कर के नहीं देखा जा सकता है.
कृष्ण सम्पूर्ण हैं, 16 कलाओं के साथ जन्म लेने वाले भगवान विष्णु के अवतार में वह सबसे ताकतवर हैं. कृष्ण की लीलाएं अपरम्पार है, बाल सुलभ चंचलता उन्हें सबसे अलग करती है.
गंभीर दर्शन की जब बात आती है तो गीता का ज्ञान सिर्फ कृष्ण ही दे सकते हैं. कृष्ण के विभिन्न रूप हैं और किसी एक रूप को परिभाषित करना बहुत ही मुश्किल है.
कृष्ण एक बहुत नटखट बच्चे हैं. कृष्ण माखन चुराया करते थे, और माखन ही गोप गोपियों की आजीविका थी. ऐसे में वे कृष्ण की माँ से शिकायत करतीं थीं. पर कृष्ण मासूम बनकर उन्हें फिर से मना लेते थे. वे एक बांसुरी वादक हैं और बहुत अच्छा नाचते भी हैं। वे अपने दुश्मनों के लिए भयंकर योद्धा हैं. कृष्ण एक ऐसे अवतार हैं जिनसे प्रेम करने वाले हर घर में मौजूद हैं. वे एक चतुर राजनेता और महायोगी भी हैं.
वसुदेव ने अपने आठवें पुत्र को नंद और यशोदा की पुत्री के स्थान पर रख दिया और उस नन्ही बच्ची को लेकर वापस आ गए. जब कंस वहाँ पहुंचा तो वसुदेव और देवकी ने उसे कहा इसे छोड़ दो ये तो लड़की है. पर कंस नहीं माना उर उसने उस बच्ची को जमीन पर पटकना चाहा. पर वो बच्ची जमीन पर नहीं गिरी उसने एक अलग ही रूप धारण कर लिया…गोकुल के लोगों में इन्द्रोत्सव मनाने की परंपरा थी. पर कृष्ण के कहने पर उन्होंने गोपोत्सव मनाने का फैसला किया। उसी समय गोकुल में भारी वर्षा हुई और यमुना का स्तर इतना बढ़ गया कि सब कुछ डूबने लगा. ऐसे में कृष्ण सभी को गोवेर्धन पर्वत की गुफाओं तक ले गए। तभी अचानक एक चमत्कार हुआ और पर्वत जमीन से ऊपर उठ गया.
कृष्ण के सांवले होने पर भी हर कोई उनपर मुग्ध था। ऐसा इसलिए था क्योंकि वे हर समय मुस्कुराते रहते थे. भगवान कृष्ण ने गोपियों के साथ रास लीलाएं रचाई थीं। पर फिर उन्होंने कुछ वर्ष ब्रह्मचारी का जीवन भी जिया था.
सद्गुरु जग्गी ने बताया कि ब्रह्मचर्य का जीवन जीने का मतलब है – मैं और तुम का फर्क न होना. कृष्ण में ये गुण बचपन से ही था, जब उन्होंने माता यशोदा को अपने मुख में पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड के दर्शन कराये थे. कृष्ण को जहां भी चित्रित किया जाता है, उन्हें नीले रंग का दर्शाया जाता है.
