Traditional Medical Systems of India: भारत ना सिर्फ विभिन्न रंग और रूपों के लिए जाना जाता है बल्कि यह एक बेहतर जीवन शैली तथा इसे बनाए रखने के लिए कई सारी विशेष पद्धतियों के लिए भी विश्व विख्यात है। इन पद्धतियों का आदि और इतिहास इतना पुराना है जितना कि शायद मानव का अस्तित्व। निश्चित ही इस जीवन शैली को बनाए रखने के लिए कुछ नियम बताए गए होंगे और इसके बिगड़ जाने पर कुछ इलाज बताए गए होंगे। भारतीय ज्ञान से जुड़ी इन्हीं कुछ विशेषताओं पर आज हम बात करेंगे। जिसमें हमारा मुख्य केंद्र भारत की चिकित्सा प्रणाली रहेगी।
भारत के पास चिकित्सा प्रणाली का एक समृद्ध इतिहास रहा है, जिसमें आयुर्वेद सबसे प्राचीन है। यह सबसे ज्यादा प्रचलित और स्वीकृत समृद्ध स्वदेशी चिकित्सा प्रणाली है। हालांकि भारत में आयुर्वेद के साथ ही यूनानी, सिद्ध, होम्योपैथी, योग और प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा की पद्धति सदियों से मान्य हैं। इन में से कुछ का मूल भले ही विदेश की धरती रही हो लेकिन इसका विकास भारत की धरती पर ही हुआ है और पहचान भी।
आयुर्वेद-
जानकार बताते हैं कि आयुर्वेद का इतिहास ईसा पूर्व दूसरी शताब्दी से भी कहीं ज्यादा पुराना है। मान्यताओं के अनुसार आयुर्वेद की नींव वैशेषिक दर्शन की शिक्षाओं के प्राचीन विधालयों और न्याय के सिद्धांत पर रखी गई है। वैशेषिक संप्रदाय किसी भी वस्तु के गुणों को छह प्रकारों में वर्गीकृत करता है- पदार्थ, विशिष्टता, गतिविधि, व्यापकता, अंतर्निहितता और गुणवत्ता, जिन्हें संस्कृत भाषा में क्रमशः द्रव्य, विशेष, कर्म, सामान्य, समवाय और गुण कहा जाता है। आयुर्वेद की उत्पत्ति हिंदू भगवान ब्रह्मा से मानी जाती है, जिन्हें ब्रह्मांड का निर्माता कहा जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि ब्रह्मांड के निर्माता के बाद, मानव जाति के कल्याण के लिए ऋषियों को उपचार का यह समग्र ज्ञान प्राप्त हुआ। ऋषियों से पारंपरिक औषधियों का ज्ञान विभिन्न लेखों और मौखिक कथनों द्वारा शिष्यों और फिर आम आदमी तक पहुँचाया गया।
वेद की ऋचाएं जिन्हें आम भाषा में श्लोक कहा जाता है, में ऋषि-मुनियों द्वारा औषधीय पौधों के उपयोग का वर्णन मिलता है। अथर्ववेद और यजुर्वेद में 293 और 81 औषधीय पौधों का वर्णन है। इन वेदों के लेखन का श्रेय महर्षि अत्रेय को दिया जाता है। यह माना जाता है कि इनको ज्ञान भगवान इंद्र से प्राप्त हुआ था, जिन्होंने शुरूआत में इसे भगवान ब्रह्मा से प्राप्त किया था।
सिद्धा-
चिकित्सा की सिद्ध प्रणाली आयुर्वेद के समान सिद्धांत पर आधारित है। यह मानती है कि मानव शरीर पंच महाभूतों के जैसे ही ब्रह्मांड के पंच तत्वों से बना है। इन तत्वों के साथ-साथ सिद्ध प्रणाली मानती है कि किसी व्यक्ति की शारीरिक, नैतिक और मानसिक स्थिति 96 कारकों द्वारा नियंत्रित होती है। इन 96 कारकों में धारणा, भाषण, नाड़ी आदिका शामिल हैं। आमतौर पर खनिजों, धातुओं और कुछ हद तक पौधों के उत्पादों की मदद से मनोदैहिक प्रणाली द्वारा उपचार करने के बारे में बताया गया है।
यूनानी चिकित्सा-
यूनानी चिकित्सा पद्धति ग्रीस में हुई थी। इसे दुनिया के सामने हिप्पोक्रेट्स द्वारा पेश किया गया था। हिप्पोक्रेट्स एक महान दार्शनिक औऱ चिकित्सक थे। ये रोगों का उपचार हास्य सिद्धांत किया करते थे। चिकित्सा की यह प्रणाली भारत में अरबों द्वारा शुरू की गई थी और यह तब और भी ज्यादा मजबूत हो गई जब मंगोलों द्वारा फारस पर आक्रमण के बाद यूनानी प्रणाली के कुछ विद्वान और चिकित्सक भारत भाग कर आ गए। तब से, चिकित्सा की इस प्रणाली ने भारत में अपनी मजबूत पकड़ बना ली है।
होम्योपैथिक-
इसका विकास डॉ. सैमुअल हैनीमैन द्वारा किया गया। 17वीं, 18वीं शताब्दी के समय में इस जर्मन चिकित्सक ने इम्यूनोलॉजिकल मेमोरी” और “पानी की मेमोरी” के नियमों पर आधारित इलाज के बारे में बताया। भारत में यह प्रणाली एक सदी से भी अधिक समय से प्रचलित है और भारतीय पारंपरिक चिकित्सा प्रणाली का एक अभिन्न अंग बन गई है।
योग-
योग की उत्पत्ति और विकास भारत में हुई थी। व्यक्ति की नाड़ी और त्रिदोष के विश्लेषण के आधार पर उपचार और निदान की व्यवस्था है। यह शांति और स्वास्थ्य में सुधार के लिए ध्यान, व्यायाम और जीवन शैली को व्यवस्थित करने की बात करता है।
नेचुरोपैथ-
प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा की शुरुआत 19वीं शताब्दी में जर्मनी में हुई थी लेकिन आज यह कई देशों में प्रचलित है। वास्तव में यह चिकित्सा की कोई प्राचीन प्रणाली नहीं है बल्कि पारंपरिक चिकित्सा का अभ्यास करने वाले कुछ चिकित्सक विभिन्न प्रणालियों के संयोजन से इस चिकित्सा का उपयोग करते हैं। इसमें पारंपरिक और आधुनिक तकनीकों का संयोजन किया जाता है। इसमें होम्योपैथी, हाइड्रोपैथी और हर्बल फॉर्मूलेशन की मदद ली जाती है।
