उत्तर भारत के कई राज्यों में आपने दशहरे के दिन रावण का पुतला जलते हुए देखा होगा। रावण के साथ उनके परिवार का भी। लेकिन, क्या आपको यह पता है कि रावण का पुतला बनाने और उसे जलाने की शुरुआत कब हुई? आइए हम आपकेा बताते हैं।
रावण फूंकना अब किसी खेल की तरह हो गया है, वो भी गली-गली या फिर किसी बड़े मैदान में। उसके पुतले में भरे पटाखों की आवाज बच्चों को खुश करती है और यह भी दर्शाने की कोशिश होती है कि इस रावण को फूंकने में कितनी लागत आई है।
विजयादशमी आने में चंद दिन ही शेष बचे हैं। बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत का प्रतीक यह पर्व रावण-मेघनाद-कुंभकरण के पुतलों के दहन के साथ समाप्त हो जता है। लोग पुतले दहन के समय अपना हर्ष तालियों की गड़गड़ाहट के साथ व्यक्त करते हैं। लेकिन क्या आप जनते हैं कि इन पुतलों को बनाने वाले हाथ कौन से हैं? वह कौन हैं, जो इस कारीगरी को अंजाम दे रहे हैं?
राजौरी गार्डन और सुभाष नगर के बीचोबीच एक इलाका बसा है – तितारपुर। कहा जता है कि जब से यह इलाका बसा है, तभी से यहां रावण के पुतलों का निर्माण हो रहा है। रावण के पुतलों के निर्माण में जुटी ‘न्यू इंडिया रावण सोसायटी’ के एक सदस्य असलम बताते हैं,‘ तितारपुर में पिछले 30 वर्षो से रावण के पुतले बनाए ज रहे हैं। यहां पहले एक ‘रावण वाले बाबा’ हुआ करते थे। उन्होंने ही रावण के पुतलों को बनाने की शुरुआत की थी। धीरे-धीरे उनके सान्निध्य में कई लोगों ने रावण के पुतले बनाने की कला सीख ली।’ असलम बताते हैं, ‘तितारपुर में 5 फुट से लेकर 60 फुट तक के पुतले बनाये जते हैं। यहां 50 से अधिक ग्रुप पुतलों के निर्माण में जुटे हुए हैं। दशहरे से करीब दो माह पूर्व यहां पुतले बनाने का काम शुरू हो जाता है।’
