Indian Army day 15 Jan: हर साल हम भारतवासी पूरे धूम-धाम से 15 जनवरी को भारतीय सेना दिवस मनाते हैं। भारतीय सेना हमेशा से एक पेशेवर सेना रही है। जिसने देश की सुरक्षा के लिए अपनी भूमिका को हमेशा ही अग्रणी रखा है। चाहे जो भी मौसम हो या भौगोलिक स्थिति, पूरी मुस्तैदी से तन कर हर परिस्थितियों का सामना किया है और देश को सुरक्षित किया है। इस बार 15 जनवरी, 2024 को भारत अपना 76वां स्थापना दिवस मना रहा है। इस दिन को भारतीय थल सेना दिवस के रूप में भी जानते हैं। इस खास मौके पर सेना के विभिन्न मुख्यालयों में सैन्य परेड, झांकी और सेना की वीरता को प्रदर्शित करते कार्यक्रम को प्रस्तुत किया जाता है। आइए जानते हैं कि थल सेना दिवस हर साल 15 जनवरी को ही क्यों मनाया जाता है।

आपको बता दें कि भारतीय थल सेना का गठन ब्रिटिश शासन के दौरान ही हो गया था। उस वक्त इंडियन आर्मी के सबसे शीर्ष पद पर अंग्रेज ही काबिज हुआ करते थे। लेकिन जब 1947 में भारत आजाद हुआ तो कुछ समय के लिए भारतीय सेना की कमान ब्रिटिश अधिकारियों के ही हाथ में रहीं। यह चलन साल 1949 तक बना रहा। 15 जनवरी 1949 को भारतीय थल सेना की कमान यानी कि कमांडर-इन-चीफ के पद पर एक भारतीय के एम करियप्पा को नियुक्त किया गया। इन्होंने ब्रिटिश मूल के जनरल फ्रांसिस बुचर से भारतीय सेना की कमान संभाली थी। जिस कारण इस दिन यानी कि 15 जनवरी को इंडियन आर्मी डे या भारतीय थल सेना दिवस के रूप मनाते हैं।
कौन थे केएम करियप्पा
करियप्पा देश के पहले कमांडर इन चीफ थे। ये पहले ऐसे ऑफिसर थे जिन्हें फील्ड मार्शल की पांच सितारा रैंक दी गई। उनके अदम्य साहस और वीरता के किस्से सेना में आम है। ये महज 20 साल की उम्र में ब्रिटिश इंडियन आर्मी में अपनी नौकरी शुरू की थी। करियप्पा ने भारत पाक युद्ध में देश की पश्चिमी सीमा पर नेतृत्व भी किया था। आजादी के समय भारती सेना के बंटवारे की जिम्मेदारी भी इन्होंने बखूबी निभाई थी। आपको बता दें कि सेना में फील्ड मार्शल की पोस्ट सबसे ऊपर है। हालांकि यह पद सेना में सम्मान के रूप में दिया जाता रहा है। देश के पहले फील्ड मार्शल सैम मानिकशॉ थे। इन्हें यह पद जनवरी 1973 में दिया गया था और केएम करियप्पा को यह सम्मान 1986 में दिया गया। इस प्रकार केएम करियप्पा देश के दूसरे फील्ड मार्शल बने।
