पुरानी यादें ताजा करता ‘हवा महल’
हवा महल का नाम सुनते ही हम जयपुर वाला हवा महल के बारे में सोचने लगते हैं. यहां हम गुलाबी नगरी जयपुर वाले हवा महल की नहीं, बल्कि विविध भारती पर प्रसारित होने वाले लोकप्रिय रेडियो प्रोग्राम की बात कर रहे हैं. जब भी रेडियो पर ये आवाज आती थी ‘विविध भारती की अगली पेशकश है हवा महल’ तो हर एक श्रोता रेडियो के पास आकर कुछ समय के लिए जम जाता था. उस दौर में इस कार्यक्रम को सुनने में एक अलग ही मजा था. बता दें कि भारत में टेलिविजन 1980 के बाद आया, लेकिन तब भी ये लोगों की पहुँच से काफी दूर था. मानो उस समय मनोरंजन का एक बेहतर साधन रेडियो पर प्रसारित होने वाले विविध भारती के दिलचस्प और मनोरंजक कार्यक्रम ही थे.
हवा महल विविध भारती का दैनिक लोकप्रिय कार्यक्रम रहता आया है, जो हर रात सवा नौ बजे यानी 9.15 पर प्रसारित हुआ करता था. अब यह रात आठ बजे आता है. इसके प्रत्येक एपिसोड में किसी एक लेखक की कहानी को नाट्य रूप में पेश किया जाता था.
लेखक अपनी कहानियां और झलकियां देश के कोने-कोने से विविध भारती को भेजा करते थे. कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रत्येक कहनी में समाज से जुड़ीं कोई न कोई बात हुआ करती थी। श्रोता इस कार्यक्रम के दीवाने थे. कार्यक्रम के हर नए एपिसोड में हास्य से लेकर सामाजिक विषयों पर लिखी कहानियों को नाट्य रूप में पेश किया जाता था.
हवा महल की लोकप्रियता इतनी ज्यादा थी कि फिल्मी कलाकार ओम पुरी, अमरीश पुरी, यूनुस परवेज जैसे कई नामी कलाकार हवा महल के नाटकों में अभिनय किया करते थे. हवा महल विविध भारती के शुरुआती कार्यक्रमों में से एक रहा है. नीलेश मिश्रा का कार्यक्रम ‘यादों के इडियट बॉक्स’ उनमें से एक है. आज पचास साल होने के बाद भी इस कार्यक्रम की दीवानगी श्रोताओं के बीच बनी हुई है. इस कार्यक्रम की कहानियां सुनकर लोग आज भी पुरानी यादों में खो जाते हैं.
