सैकड़ों हत्याओं का गवाह, दिल्ली का खूनी दरवाजा
Delhi khooni darwaza:अगर आप दिल्ली में हो या घूमने आए हो तो आपने यहां के खूनी दरवाजे के बारे में जरूर सुना होगा। वैसे तो कश्मीरी गेट और अजमेरी गेट के पास कई पुराने दरवाजे हैं। लेकिन यहां पर स्थित इस दरवाजे के पीछे अजीब कहानियों का एक सिलसिला रहा है। यहां के आसपास रहने वाले लोग शाम होते ही डर लगने की बात बताते हैं। इतिहास के पन्नों में इस दरवाजे को लेकर कई डरावने किस्से दर्ज हैं। मुगल-अफगानी शैली में बनी हुई यह इमारत, दिल्ली के बचे हुए ऐतिहासिक दरवाजों में से एक है। यह बहादुरशाह जफर मार्ग पर दिल्ली गेट के नजदीक स्थित है।
इस खूनी दरवाजे को शूर साम्राज्य के संस्थापक शेरशाह सूरी ने फिरोजाबाद के लिए बनवाया था। इसे पहले काबुली बाजार के नाम से भी जाना था, क्योंकि इस दरवाजे से काबुल से आने वाले लोग गुजरते थे। इस खूनी दरवाजा तीन मंजीला है और इसे क्वार्टज़ाइट पत्थर से बनाया गया है।
मुगल साम्राज्य के समय यहाँ पर शवों को सड़ने के लिए लटका दिया जाता था। कहते हैं जब जहांगीर के बादशाहात पर अकबर के नवरत्नों ने विरोध किया था तो उनमें से एक नवरत्न अब्दुल रहीम खानखाना के दो बेटों की हत्या इसी दरवाजे पर कर दी गई थी। 1739 में नादिर शाह ने भी इस गेट पर बहुत खून बहाया था। दिल्ली का यह खूनी दरवाजा क्रूरता के इतिहास की अनगिनत कहानियों को खुद में समेटे आज भी खड़ा है। यहीं पर मुगल शासक औरंगजेब ने अपनी बादशाहत को बुलंद करने के लिए अपने बड़े भाई दाराशिकोह की गर्दन काट कर टांग दिया था।

बात तब कि है जब भारत में अंग्रेजों के प्रति विरोध की पहली लहर राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर चिंगारी की तरह फैल रही थी। 1857 के संग्राम में बहादुरशाह ने आमलोगों का नेतृत्व संभाला था। जब अंग्रेजों ने सभी क्रूरता की हदें पार कर इसे दबाना शुरू कर दिया था तो बहादुरशाह जफर अपने तीनों राजकुमार के साथ हुमायू के मकबरे में शरण ली। जब अंग्रेजों को इसके बारे में पता चला तो उन्होंने बहादुरशाह से आत्मसमर्पण करने को कहा और उनके तीनों बेटों पर मुकदमा के तहत सजा की बात की। लेकिन हुआ इसके विपरीत। जब अंग्रेज बहादुर से तीनों बेटों को लेकर लाल किला की ओर जा रहे थे, तो उनके साथ साथ भारी संख्या में हिन्दुस्तानी भी चल रहे थे। इस भीड़ के भय से वे अचानक बहादुरशाह के बेटों को इसी खूनी दरवाजे पर ले जाकर नंगा कर दिया और गोली मार दी।
तीनों राजकुमारों को गोली मारने वाले विलियम हडसन ने गोली मारने के बाद काफी जोर से चिल्लाया-हमनें मुगलों से हिन्दुओं के खून का बदला ले लिया। उन्होंने जनता को डराने और चुप कराने के लिए यह कहा होगा।
दिल्ली के इस खुनी दरवाजे पर ही 1947 में विभाजन के दौरान सैकडों शरणार्थियों की हत्या कर दी गई थी। स्थानीय लोग कहते हैं कि यहां रात को लोगों के चीखने और चिल्लाने की आवाजे आती हैं। यह कहानियों में भूतिया रास्ता के रूप में जाना जाता है। हालांकि इस दावे को साबित करने के लिए अभी तक कोई सबूत हाथ नहीं लगे हैं।
