कहाँ से हुई शुरुआत ?
आपको पता है की इस खेल की शुरुआत कैसे और कहाँ हुई थी? नहीं ! आईये आज हम आपको सांप-सीढ़ी के इतिहास के बारे में कुछ रोचक बातें बताते हैं. इस खेल की शुरुआत प्राचीन भारत में हुई थी. जी हाँ, आपने सही समझा. यह एक भारतीय खेल है.
इस खेल को प्राचीन भारत में मोक्ष-पतामु और मोक्षपट कहा जाता था. सांप-सीढ़ी की शुरुआत कब हुई, इसको लेकर थोड़ा मतभेद है. हिन्दू धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार इस खेल की शुरुआत महाभारत के समय हुई थी, वहीँ जैन धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार इस खेल की शुरुआत संत ज्ञानदेव ने 13 सदी में की थी. जब इस खेल को ज्ञान चौपर के नाम से भी जाना जाता था. शुरुआती दौर में इस खेल को छोटे बच्चो को हिन्दू वेदों का अभ्यास करने के लिए खेला जाता था. बच्चो को सिखाया जाता था की अगर आप अच्छे कर्म करेंगे तो, कर्म आपको ऊपर लेके जायेगा और दूसरी ओर अगर आप बुरे काम करते है तो आप नीचे की ओर जायेंगे. इस खेल में सांप बुराई का प्रतीक हुआ करते थे, तो सीढ़ी अच्छाई का. 1892 में ब्रिटिश इस खेल को इंग्लैंड ले गए और इसे स्नेक एंड लैडर (सांप-सीढ़ी) का नाम दिया. इंग्लैंड के बाद सांप-सीढ़ी का की लोकप्रियता और बढ़ी और अमेरिका होते हुए, धीरे-धीरे यह खेल पूरे यूरोप के साथ-साथ पूरी दुनिया में खेला जाने लगा.
क्या कहते हैं सांप-सीढ़ी के नंबर्स ?
असली मोक्ष पतामु में सीढ़िया कम और सांप ज्यादा हुआ करते थे. इससे यह बताया जाता था कि अगर आप ईमानदारी से अपने मंजिल की ओर बढ़ते हैं तो उसमें थोड़ा वक़्त जरुर लगेगा, लेकिन अगर आप बेईमानी से मंजिल की तरफ जितनी जल्दी आगे बढ़ते हैं, उतनी ही जल्दी नीचे भी गिरते हैं.
असली मोक्ष पतामु में नंबर 12, 51, 57, 76 और 78 पर सीढियां हुआ करती थी. नंबर 12 आस्था, 51 स्थिरता, 57 उदारता, 76 ज्ञान और 78 संन्यास के प्रतीक होते थे. नंबर 41, 44, 49, 52, 58, 62, 69, 73, 84, 92, 95 और 99 सांप हुआ करते थे. नंबर 41 आज्ञा का उल्लंघन, 44 अहंकार, 49 घटियापन, 52 चोरी, 58 अनिष्ठा, 62 मदात्यय, 69 क़र्ज़, 73 हत्या, 84 आक्रमकता, 92 मदात्यय, 95 गुरुर और 99 कामुकता का प्रतीक थे.
सांप-सीढ़ी का खेल खेलने में जितना मनोरंजक है, उतना ही ज्ञानवर्धक भी है. सांप-सीढ़ी का खेल हमारी जिंदगी पर आधारित है. जिस तरह खेल में सांप के काटने से नीचे आने के बाद वापिस मंजिल की ओर रुख करते हैं , ठीक उसी तरह हमें असल ज़िंदगी में हर एक कठनाई को पार कर आगे बढ़ते रहने चाहिए.
