जी हां पश्चिम भारत में एक राज्य है राजस्थान । वहां पर बसने वाली एक जनजाती है जिसका नाम है कालबेलिया । कालबेलिया जैसा नाम से ही आप समझ पा रहे होगें । जिनका संबंध कहीं न कहीं काल से तो जरूर ही होगा । बताते चलें कि यहां काल शब्द का संबंध भगवान शिव के स्वरूप काल कपाल महाकाल से है।
आईये जानें कालबेलिया का इतिहास
वैसे तो कालबेलिया का इतिहास राजस्थान से जुड़ा है लेकिन यह एक यायावर सुमदाय होने के कारण इधर उधर घूमता रहता है। इसलिए न ही इनका कोई एक ठिकाना होता है। न ही कोई एक घर । लेकिन कालबेलिया समुदाय आज कल अपने परंपरागत नृत्य कालबेलिया डांस के लिए खूब जाना जाता है। कालबेलिया समुदाय के लोग यायावर होने के साथ साथ सांप को पकड़ने में भी काफी माहिर होते हैं।
सांप और कालबेलिया का रिश्ता
सदियों से यह परंपरा रही है कि कालबेलिया समुदाय से जुड़े लोग सांप को अपने धुन पर नाचने को मजबूर कर देते हैं। इन्हें सांपों के जहर उतारने को लेकर भी जाना जाता रहा है। लोग जिन विषैले सांपों को देख कर भाग खड़े होते हैं। उन्हें यह ऐसे पकड़ते हैं जैसे कोई बच्चे का खेल हो। आप को जान कर हैरानी होगी की कालबेलिया समुदाय के लोग चुगली करने में भी माहिर होते हैं। इनके नाम यह भी पुरस्कार है कि यह अपने समुदाय में ही शादी बियाह कर लेते हैं। इनका पारंपरिक व्यवसाय सांप पकड़ना, सांप के विष को बेचना और सांप काटने पर इलाज करना है। सांप से इनका जुड़ाव इतना है कि इनके वेश भूषा में भी सांप जैसी आकृति और रंग का असर दिखना इनकी पहचान का हिस्सा रहा है।
कौन हैं कालबेलिया के गुरू
कालबेलिया एक जनजाति के तौर पर जाना जाता रहा है । माना जाता है कि गुरू गोरखनाथ के शिष्य कंलप्रि कालबेलिया समुदाय के वाहक गुरू थे। इन खानाबदोश जनजाति को भारतीय संविधान में अनुसुचित जनजाति की श्रेणी में रखा गया है। मतलब यह कि इन्हें काफी कुछ कानूनी सुरक्षा और सुविधा भी दी जाती है।
कैसे दिखते हैं कालबेलिया
आपको जानकर शायद हैरानी हो। लेकिन इनकें कपड़ों से भी सांप जैसी दिखने वाले रंग और आकृति की झलक मिलती है । अमूमन इनके कपड़ो का रंग लाल और काला ही होता पर होता है काफी चटखदार। नृत्य के दौरान पहने जाने वाले कपड़ों में जो ऊपर की तरफ पहना जाता है उसे अंगरखा कहा जाता है। और नीचे की ओर लहंगा और सिर पर ओढनी तो इनके पहनावे की पहचान है। नाच दिखाने वाली महिलाओं के शरीर पर गोधना की कला इनकी परंपरा का हिस्सा रही हैं। पुरूष की भूमिका वाद बजाने की होती है और महिलाओं की नृत्य की। यूनेस्को ने इसे अपने अमूर्त विरासत की सूची में भी शामिल किया है।
