नईदिल्ली।केरल में निपाह वायरस के मामले बढ़ते ही जा रहे हैं। अभी तक कुल छह मामलों की पुष्टि हो चुकी है। कोझिकोड जिले में 39 वर्षीय व्यक्ति में संक्रमण की पुष्टि की गई है। सैंपल रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आने के बाद उसमें निपाह वायरस की पुष्टि हुई है। गौरतलब है कि पिछले कुछ दिनों में राज्य में तेजी से संक्रमण के मामले बढ़े हैं। संपर्क में आए लोगों को भी खास निगरानी में रखा गया है। करीब 706 लोग संक्रमितों के कॉन्टैक्ट में आने की सूचना है। जिसमें 77 लोग उच्च जोखिम की श्रेणी में है। केंद्र से संबंधित अधिकारियों की टीम गुरुवार सुबह कोझिकोड पहुंची।नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ वायरोलॉजी से सैंपलों की पुष्टि कराई जा रही है। स्वास्थ्य विभाग की माने तो संक्रमण के जोखिमों के देखते हुए सभी लोगों को विशेष सावधानी बरतने की जरूरत है।
केरल के आस-पास के राज्य और सटे जिलों में निपाह वायरस की खबर से हड़कंप मच गया है। पड़ोसी राज्चय कर्नाटक भी अर्लट पर हो गया है। केरल से सटे जिलों में सर्वलांस बढ़ा दी गई है। संबंधित विभाग ने एक एडवाइजरी जारी कर कहा कि संबंधित जिलों या आसपास के इलाकों में अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचें। स्वास्थय मंत्री वीना जार्ज ने कहा कि निपाह वायरस के जिस वैरियंट की पुष्टि हुई है वह बांग्लादेशी वैरियंट है। बंग्लादेशी वैरियंट कम संक्रामक है। लेकिन यह मानव से मानव में भी फैल सकता है। घबराने की बात यह है कि बांग्लादेशी वैरियंट में मृत्यु दर काफी ज्यादा है। निपाह वायरस का यह वैरियंट दिमाग को बहुत ज्यादा नुकसान पहुंचाता है। निपाह वायरस का यह बांग्लादेशी वैरियंट में मृत्यु दर 70 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा है।
बताते चलें कि निपाह वायरस एक प्रकार का जूनोटिक वायरस है। यह जानवरों की द्वारा फैलता है।कई बार तो यह देखा गया है कि यह एक इंसान से दूसरे इंसान में भी फैल सकता है। विश्व स्वास्थय संगठन की माने तो यह कई बार खाने पीने की चीजों से भी फैल जाता है।
