भारतीय संस्कृति को विश्व की सबसे प्राचीन संस्कृतियों में से एक माना जाता है। और आज भारत अपने इन्हीं अनूठे सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों की वजह से पूरे विश्व में जाना जाता है। किसी ने कहा है कि, “सभ्यता तो अनेक देशों के पास है परंतु भारत एकमात्र ऐसा देश है जिसके पास संस्कृति भी है।” और संस्कृति एवं सभ्यता के इसी अद्भुत संयोजन से हमारी भारतीय जीवन शैली विकसित हुई है। जिस वजह से इस अनोखी जीवन शैली का अनुकरण करना और अधिक ज़रूरी हो जाता है।
भारतीय जीवन शैली का अनुकरण करने के लाभ –
- भारत की जीवन शैली हमेशा से उदारवादी रही है, यह कभी भी भोगवादी नहीं रही। इसलिए तो कहा गया है –
अयं निज:परोवेत्ति गणना लघुचेतसाम।
उदारचरितानाम तु वसुधैवकुटुम्बकम।।
अर्थात- यह मेरा है, यह पराया है इस प्रकार की गणना कम अक्ल वाले लोग करते हैं। उदार चरित्र वाले मनुष्यों के लिए तो पूरी पृथ्वी ही परिवार है।
- भारतीय जीवन शैली में संयुक्त पारिवारिक प्रणाली पर अत्यधिक ज़ोर दिया गया है। क्योंकि जो संस्कार बच्चा एक संयुक्त परिवार में रहते हुए प्राप्त करता है, वह संस्कार वह कभी भी एकल परिवार में रहते हुए प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता।
- सदियों से हमारी अपनी भारतीय रसोई स्वयं में आयुर्वेद का भंडार रही है। दालचीनी, लौंग, तुलसी, अदरक, काली मिर्च, सौंफ, जीरा, मेथी, अजवायन, कलौंजी, गुड़, हल्दी आदि मसालें औषधीय गुणों से भरपूर है तथा स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान के मानकों पर भी खरे सिद्ध हुए हैं।
- आमतौर पर भारत में दिन सूर्य नमस्कार के साथ शुरु होता है। इसमें लोग सूर्य को जल चढ़ाते हैं और मंत्र पढ़कर प्रार्थना करते हैं। भारत में हमेशा से प्रकृति का स्वागत हुआ है। हिंदू धर्म में पेड़ों और जानवरों को भगवान की तरह पूजा जाता है। लोग भगवान में विश्वास रखते हैं और कई त्योहारों पर उपवास रखते हैं। वे सुबह का ताज़ा खाना गाय को और रात का आखिरी खाना कुत्ते को देते हैं। दुनिया में कहीं भी इस तरह की उदारता देखने को नहीं मिलती।
- सुबह की प्रार्थना और नैतिक शिक्षा भारत में शिक्षा प्रणाली का अहम हिस्सा हैं। यहां लोगों को उनकी जाति, रंग या नस्ल के आधार पर कभी भी आंका नहीं जाता।
- परम्परागत भारतीय जीवन शैली में स्वास्थ्य का बड़ा राज छिपा है। यहां के तीज-त्योहार, रीति-रिवाज, साधना एवं पूजा-पद्धति व्यक्ति के मानसिक, भावनात्मक एवं शारीरिक उल्लास को ताजगी देकर आरोग्यमय जीवन प्रदान करते हैं।
- भारत एक ऐसी धरती है जिसके अभिवादन के तरीके बहुत अलग अलग हैं। यहां हर धर्म का अपना अलग अभिवादन का तरीका है। उदाहरण के तौर पर हिंदू परिवारों में बाहरी लोगों या बड़ों को नमस्ते कह कर अभिवादन किया जाता है। दोनों हथेलियां जोड़कर चेहरे से नीचे रखकर ना सिर्फ दूसरों के लिए सम्मान दिखाया जाता है, बल्कि अभिवादन करने वाला भी बदले में स्नेह महसूस करता है। उसी तरह मुस्लिम आदाब कहकर अभिवादन करते हैं जिसमें सीधे हाथ को चेहरे के सामने इस तरह उठाया जाता है कि हथेली आखों के सामने हो और उंगलियां लगभग माथा छू रही हों। इसलिए यह बात तो पक्के तौर पर कही जा सकती है कि अंग्रेज़ी के ‘हेलो’ या ‘हाय’ में वो जादू नहीं होता जो ‘नमस्कार या आदाब’ में होता है।
इतनी विविधता के बावजूद भारत में लोग एकजुट हैं और अपनी संस्कृति और परंपरा पर गर्व महसूस करते हैं। चाहे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह हो या सौंदर्य प्रतियोगिताएं, विश्व मंच पर भारत ने प्रतिभा और संस्कृति का प्रदर्शन किया है। कई शासक यहां आए लेकिन इसकी संस्कृति को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा पाए। भारतीयों ने भी आज तक अपने सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों को सहेज कर रखा है। समय के साथ चलने और लचीलेपन के कारण भारतीय जीवन शैली वास्तव में आधुनिक और स्वीकार्य भी है।
